Seems like hollyweirds found its latest trend, making films based off old toys . What will they think of next? The Legend of Furby? The chronicles of Pogs? or the Lincoln Log Trilogy..

I'm off to go break some Lego toys right now after hearing this.

Makes sense to me. Lego seems like a toy that should have been made into a movie a long time ago. I'm certainly not interested but i'm not interested in most children movies anymore.

They already made kiddie Transformers.

They adapted Lego into videogames. It was only a matter of time until this was being adapted into a movie. Hollywood wants to grab anything that's well known and Lego is one of them.

It's more like making movies to make money, which includes selling toys which earns them residual income and royalties.


Making a movie about toys is another way to SELL toys.

According to Moviebob, its actually really smart and has a lot to say about stuff too.

I am absolutely excited to see this!

This film is a must-see! I was actually crying, I was laughing so hard at some points in the film. Stay for the end credits music too; I had another laughing fit there as well. Will Arnett in particular killed it as Batman!

Has all the sarcastic edge of Robot Chicken, with the heart of the best PIXAR movies.

Just went to see this. Yeah, its really really damn good. Maybe even awesome.

I have heard nothing but good stuff about this, which I hadn't expected. I might actually see it.

On DVD. No way in hell I'm going to see this in theater solo. People might judge me or something.

Yeah word of mouth on this movie has been universally positive, and the reviews are great too.

And the entire first page of the thread consisted of people bashing the very idea of the movie, lol, losers.

Not sure if it's funny or sad that the Lego Movie is the best thing I've seen so far this year. Granted we're not that far into 2014 so there's always room for more.

Silence cowards, everything is awesome.

This was very good overall; possibly the best kid/family orientated flick since The Increbibles.

Looking forward to seeing it again at home.

I just got home from seeing this.

The Lego Movie wasn't bad at all, to be honest.

It was a little too lighthearted and family oriented, despite people telling me that it's filled with jokes a la Robot Chicken and the like. Still, it was a cute movie with some really cool animation and cheesy inside jokes. Most importantly, my daughter loved it.
