I did a search and found no thread about this, I am looking forward to this...it's got Jin my fav character which I'm liking...I just hope this doesn't end up sucking

I'm hoping Dave Batista doesn't f*ck up king, I quite like king as well and if Batista's playing as him well...

'Tekken' has a great storyline. Hopefully it won't be changed.

Doesn't seem to be...Jin wanting to kill grandpa and pa...sounds about right for Tekken

No, Tekken is uber l33t, however, Tekken the live action will will be teh suck. The tekken cartoon movie was awesome though.

I totally agree. As far as I know, there are lots of characters that isn't included in the movie like Paul, Hwoarang and King.

I wonder what they'll do with Yoshimitsu?

They should let Ray Park(Darth Maul/Toad(X-1)/Snake-Eyes) play him, or maybe the guy who played Nomak and Nuada from Hellboy II.

The initial cut of Tekken was given an NC-17 rating for "Strong Stylized Graphic Violence", but was appealed. The appeal was denied, and about 5 minutes of the film was cut in order to secure an "R" rating. The official rating for Tekken is R on appeal for "Intense Sequences of Sustained Violent Martial Arts Action and Violence Throughout, Sexual Content/Nudity, Language and Some Drug Use".

Wow. That's a bit much for a Tekken movie, isn't it?


But, I'm glad they went for an R rating. It's about damn time a movie was made to fit it's adaptation, and not just to make money. I'm referring to the Wolverine Origins film....and many others that were babied down to a PG-13 beacuse they wanted a less-mature audience.

However, the games were ALL rated teen or somewhere along those lines. So, it's odd that they'd take it to a mature level.

Still, it looks like a teen-flick: overly saturated with pop-culture ideas, attitudes, and references. Meaning, it would look incredibly cheesy and horribly in 15 years...just like every other pop-culture laden film.

I'll still see it, though, as I am an avid player. Love playing as Lei Wulong, Law, and Eddie. I played as Lei and Eddie because they both can fight really well up high and low, for those idiots who like to block forever and ever. I used Law, mostly, because I won a couple of tournaments in highschool with him.

I wish I could buy Jin gloves, they look totally awesome

Lei Wu Long is my best character. Almost anyone I play, I can defeat with ease as Lei. It sucks that he won't be in the film.

They shoulda just made it CGI.

With CGI gophers playing each of Jack 6's robotic biceps.

It's a shame that hollywood is running out of idea's and so they decide to make movies out of games and just ruin the franchise, the games are great but I dunno about this movie...I saw the motion picture which was an animi or however its spelt and that wasn't too great

At least they got Yoshimitsu.

2 and 3 were the best. I like 2 more, although 3 introduced the Ukemi "quick roll."

I liked the 4th game myself, Jin roundhouse kick ftw

the movie may very well suck but i'll still catch it in theatres with a friend whom plays tekken just as vociferociously as i do.

i'll watch it just for fun. cheese and all.

i'm a huge fan of the story and the franchise, (i play the game just about everyday) and i liked the animated movie alot now the full length feature film's coming out in theatres. i'll be there for the sat. late morn. matinee. why not.

Maybe I'll take a girl to see it with me, you can say thats a bad idea but it gives me a reason to make out with her awesome

It's not a Hollywood movie at all

It's an Indie movie actually. they were looking for a Distribution Company to pick it up, judging by the trailer, they didn't find big Hollywood names to promote the movie (I'm talking Studios, not actors)

Tekken is an upcoming martial arts film directed by Dwight Little, based on the popular fighting game series of the same name.
