Provided that Sentry doesn't punch his head off on sight, Legion pulls a superpower from his a@@, just specifically designed to kill Bob. Or depower him, or something.

Yeah, Legion's power was recently explained further. IF he's next to someone when they die/he kills them, then he gains there personality and power. He also makes his own. So, he probably could do something like simulate the effects of the gun that took Bob's face off.
