Arthur and his knights were but, six (right?) and the Rabbit of Caerbannog devoured three of them in less than 30 seconds.

Why couldn't the 300 Persians, as opposed to 6 or 7, rip the bunny a new bum?

The odds are stacked against them.... Look how quickly the bunny flew between victims, evading all forms of attack, swords and shields were useless against it.

If Arthur hadnt given the "run away" order, the bunny would have slaughtered the lot of them...
And the 300, reckoning that they are a bit tasty, will never bow down to something that they consider normally to be a between feasts snack.

Plus if the 1st wave of attack will be a surprise to the 300, even if warned by the old man.

Many of their numbers would be slain in the initial stages of the ensuing conflict.... The remaining number could then be picked off at the Bunny's leisure, taking advantage of any demoralisation that the massive losses would bring in to the Spartans.

From the moment that the movie 300 was first scripted out, the clock ticked away towards the inevitability of this ultimate bloodbath.

Not to mention dude, the Knights where in full plate armour; the Spartans are in loincloths, they have far more vulnerable parts the bunny could exploit.

By my estimation, the close formation of the Spartan's battle line is their doom here, the bunny could kill-move through all 301 Spartans in about 10 mins, killing one Spartan every 2 seconds.

Thats an even more terrifying prospect, having to fight this thing knowing that at the height it likes to jump/fly about at, that it could easily savage your unarmoured goolies off.
So youd have two choices defend high and save your head or defend low and save the family jewels...
Either guard's failure to cover the other area would be fatal.

This is a brutal match up. Almost painful to think about.
