The newest Koei game is based on the Hokuto No Ken (Fist of the North Star) series is Hokuto Muso. It has a gameplay that's similar to the Dynasty Warriors series. Here's the trailer, even though it doesn't show much:

They do have one, it's based off of the Guilty Gear engine.

Tecmo Koei CEO Kenji Matsubara mentioned that they expect Hokuto Musou to sell over 1 million copies in Japan, and the game is planned for the oversea market as well.

Hmmm I wonder if it will come over here.

looks nice.. but honestly, when is this going to die out.. gudam musou, (i'm pretty sure there were other franchise "musou" as well) and lets not forget the 6 or so DW games preceding these -_-..

it just feels like they never try anything new.. like maybe having each one of those mindless NPCs an actual person on the battlefield

Dynasty Warriors is one of my favorite series - 3 and 4 **** my shit up. But they can do so much more with it, it's a shame that Koei doesn't go all out.

the amount of characters (the generals, I guess?) and how different they look and play are really stunning.. I hope they put that to good use in a title that actually shows what koei can do

I hope this game is good. I wish it was more like Godhand, that's how a Fist of the North Star game should be. The guy responsible for Godhand even said that he had heavy inspiration from Fist of the North Star.

that would be a somewhat better combat system. I however am tripping balls right now, just beautifully amazing.

I saw Shuu and Souther, although Souther could use a little more muscle and build.

Oh yeah, that looks pretty damn hot. I wasn't expectin' an FoN game to be made in this manner but it sure seems to be a good idea. I can't wait to see more.

Be cool if all the Nanto fighters were playable really..well Vuda can be left out.... Kinda really surprised me Jagi was included as a playable. He has always been more of a...filler type character. Never really mentioned after he dies even when talking about the past.

Jagi is hilarious, not a lick of Houkto Shinken in his moveset so far, just wrestling moves, guns, rocket launchers, and a motorcycle. "SAY MY NAME!"

Yea that's kinda...strange. Even if he is weak in comparison to the other Hokuto users it's still very much a part of him, he just likes using whatever means. lol
