Super Nova possessed the entire Novaforce unhindered by the mental blocks that the worldmind implanted in Richard. With unchecked power he grew to galactus size and was eventually driven insane by the power.
It took the combined efforts of several Avengers, Quasar, Thor, Firelord, the fantastic four and a few others to calm him down.
