It took the reemergence of Superman Prime to stop Solaris but then it took the entire population of Earth given super powers and a lot more to take down Maggeddon. Tough call, I'd say Solaris simply because he fought a force that makes the current JL look like a joke in terms of power.

Never said they were going to kill it (maybe) but they were going to render it helpless and burnt out.
though it was obvious that kyle certainly could not have contained solaris on his own - and superman m* may not have been able to either. in the end, it took superman m* cementing kyle's construct within his ridiculously uber force vision, just to hold solaris long enough for it to exhaust it's supply of hydrogen. after the constructs were let down, solaris did appear to be all but beaten.... then superman prime swooped in and tried to steal all the glory. heh.
...regardless, the fact still remains that solaris was collectively owning the entire justice legion A [which is far more impressive than anything mageddon did, imo.]
