Silver Surfer vs Pre-Crisis Hal Jordan

Classic Surfer and old school Hal go at it. Who wins?

I'd say this would be an epic fight, though. Hal was powerful enough to restrain a Pre-Crisis Superman and take over the JLA's bodies. Plus can do anything Surfer can.

Pre-Crisis Superman was virtually = to all the top tier heroes back then.

Feat wise Current Surfer can match everything Hal has shown also he gets his yellow weakness back so Surfer should win.

How "classic"? Like still trapped on Earth or Pre Annihilation?

Also, when did Hal overcome the yellow weakness in the PC era? I know he's done it plenty Post Crisis but I thought it was pretty solid back in the day...

Well Classic still has better feats than even Current so far.

He has overcame that weakness but it was also lead to downfall. Against someone who has similar feats that's a weakness that could cause a loss in battle.

Sure, and Hal has just as good feats as Classic Surfer:

Batting top mages
restraining and taking over the JLA
facing off against the yellow villain created by Hammond
tapping into the Oan Battery and using 1/3 of it's power
etc...

Hal and Surfer are basically equals in the versatility department, IMO.

the yellow impurity should still exist within the power battery being that we're talking pre-crisis.
