if we use his highest feats, is he any better of a threat? I mean wasn't hawkeye/bullseye giving angel a fight (at least seemed like he was)?

Bullseye gave mind-controlled Gargan a fight, too...

His highest feats are biting off Steel Spider's arm, technical win against Daken and Bullseye in a comic that can't be taken seriously and eating a Skrull and an Atlantean. That's all I can think of.

Take away the Venom symbiote. Make him stop taking those meds. Give him back Scorpion armor with a tail that can shoot projectiles. Then it would be a fight.

Hercules was trying to get him off and couldn't. Then he appeard to be eating his head. I'd say Herc. was having issues with Venom. And he felt that bite regardless.

Issues? Him attempting to eat Herc's head was ridiculous, gave me a good laugh when I first read it. But once again, teeth didn't penetrate the skin. All he did was hanging on Herc. Like a hat. Gargan was treated like garbage again.

Herc. punches Gargan and Mac bites him and Hec. goes "AAAAHH!!" indicating he felt the bite. Hercules then slams him into the ground and then slams him into a charging Sentry....and Gargan is still biting Hercs. fist. The next we see of him he is swollowing Hercules head. I'd say Hercules was having issues with Gargan.

hercules did have advantages angel doesn't though, just asking, what could angel do to take out venom? would his spikes work?

Incredible Hercules is one of the best books currently and Angel wins

Anyway it shouldn't be used as a feat, he got owned again. Nothing in that fight suggests he is able to hang with Worthington.

Figure he might want to pose for a picture as he takes his head off. Funny how the most traumatizing event in his life (becoming archangel) as the best thing that ever happend to him. Sort of like Wolverine and his adamantium, Rogue stealing Ms. marvel's powers, Banner being gamma bombed.... jeesh does anyone's powers come easily?

Gargan has one great feat - hanging with Thing and Herc at the same time but that's what if...

Thats been my gripe with the Dark Avengers, they let character traits completely define the character. Venom is nothing but a cannibal. Bullseye is a psycho. Moonstone is a ****. Daken is manipulative. They took what were/should be complex and well built characters and reduced them to their stereotypes. its a shame.

Oh Lord, he was being used as comic relief, Herc wasn't even acknowledging his presence for God's sake.
