I have a WPA wireless connection and a PS2 slimline. Is there anyway I can connect the PS2 wirelessly to the internet? My desire to download the exclusive camouflage for MGS3 is conflicting my desire not to run anymore cable under my carpet around the house.

So it's possible to install a wireless USB receiver on a PS2?

Smasandian
No, if you read the article it stats it cannot be USB.

Needs a standard network jack.

Darth Jello
So I have to physically plug it into a router. Not what I asked. The exact opposite in fact.

Again, read the ****ing article.

Its a wireless receiver. They don't always have to be USB. You connect the reciever to the console which communicates through radio waves to a wireless router.

Second question which I don't see mentioned. Will I have to mod the PS2?

Smasandian
Hmm.

I don't think so as long as the receiver can convert the data into a format the PS2 understand, you wouldn't need too.

I assume a receiver acts like a wireless NIC.

Cool, now I can shell out 30 bucks and play MGS 3 dressed like Santa.
