Little Known Fact: The Blob is actually a Black Pudding that was plane shifted to our reality.

The only way the Blob can be hurt is cold, right? I dont see how Cloverfield hurts it.

I'm under the assumption that this is a Colossal Black Pudding here, and if that's the case, Clover gets smothered to death. The acid damage wouldn't even matter.
