I had always the impression that Hal would beat John a slight majority so I guess that goes for Sinestro too

MM. Sinestro is not to be underestimated, however, and the above issue with MM clocking him the way he did is a clear case of jobbing on Sinestro's part -- in a forum fight, he would have better defenses in place and nowadays knows he has to be careful against powerhouses. Still, MM wins 6/10, but Sinestro's wins are nasty and brutal...
