1. is he a demon?
2. IS gaea his mother?(she granted the crimson bands to dr strange without his consent)
3. is he one of the elder gods turned demon who fled from atum?

He is an elder demon. Whatever the hell that is.

IDK but I have heard claims that he is the most powerful of them. He barely has any appearences though.

1. He beats The Demon (assuming you mean Etrigan) pretty easily.
2. Gaea probably wins.
3. Elder Gods, and Atum together? Oh boy.

Not much is known about Cyttorak. I think the most confrontational things he's done is casting the bands on Galactus' ship and getting his hat knocked off when Juggernaut jumped on his face.
