There wont be any CGI in it. They're doing it old school all the way... wink

Kazenji

laughing out loud

Sadako of Girth
I'll probably get the 1st one.

queeq
Which is very funny.

Sadako of Girth
I should hope so: I loved the SW Lego games..

queeq
It's very much like that.

Sadako of Girth
Cool. Sounds like a buyer.

queeq
Yup. Get it!

Sadako of Girth
Will do. smile

queeq
When?

Sadako of Girth
When I exchange money for it.

queeq
When is that?

Sadako of Girth
When next Im in town.

queeq
When will they release you?

Sadako of Girth
After midnight.

Kazenji
Are'nt the shops closed then?

Sadako of Girth
Stores will be open in Sydney Australia around that time. wink

queeq
Better buy a plane ticket or start swimming.

Kazenji
That or unless he has gained some sort of super power that allows him to fly.

queeq
Oh yes, he does. His butt is powered by special LEDs.

Sadako of Girth
The only way to travel... wink

(Besides there are loads of Sharks in the waters around Australia.)

queeq
And they don't like LEDs.

Sadako of Girth
Yeah they dont take to kindly to those.

queeq
Especially the blue ones.

Sadako of Girth
Yes that has to be to do with their limited/poor vision.....no other explanation fits.

queeq
Or bad taste?

Kazenji
Nah that's New Zealand.

Sadako of Girth
Dereks dont run.

queeq
They swim?

Sadako of Girth
It was a Bad Taste reference. How did you not see that...? embarrasment

Im shocked.

queeq
Sorry. I got the Derek thing... but I haven't seen Bad Taste in a while.

Sadako of Girth
The magnums the only true stopper. stick out tongue

Kazenji
Yep

it Worked for Harry Callahan.

Sadako of Girth
Certainly did..... And for Derek too.

queeq
Good ole Derek.

Isn't he the guy with the brain falling out?

Sadako of Girth
Thats him.

Which explained why when he later directed Lord of the rings why he had the legendary 62 endings that Randall Graves spoke of.

queeq
The only things left in his brain. (Although personally I never minded those, it was a lot shorter than the book)

Sadako of Girth
Yes but the book actually had stuff occurr...it had the fight back at the shire and made sense. It doesnt in the movie so much, when Frodo saw an image of those events in the Lady of the Wood's puddlemirror thang, yet they never actually happen..despite her assurances that this was unavoidable.

queeq
But it did drag on a bit. I mean, after you've saved all of Middle Earth against a dark lord, saving the Shire from some baddies doesn't sound like the biggest challenge anymore. It was past-climax and then it drags on.

It never bothered me much, there were a lot of characters and after following their exploits for over 12 hours (extended edition) a fifteen minute ending to wrap up all their stories doesn't strike me as excessive.

Sadako of Girth
I agree.... But done right it could have worked. Like Karl trying to take out McClane at the end of Die Hard.

Plus you had the wormtongue and Christopher Lee threads to resolve too, if you took em out of where Jackson put that.

Alternatively, he could have just thought that through earlier, cut the scene with Frodo seeing those events and Bobs your uncle.

queeq
I'll tell him you'll come and fix the Hobbit movies.

Sadako of Girth
Heheheehehehe stick out tongue

queeq
I'm sure he'll take you to see Uncle George.

Kazenji
At least Jackson has'nt gone nuts with the movies like Lucas and his movies release them 50 times........

queeq
Nah, just two times.

Like now with LOTR on Blu Ray: do we get the Extended Editions? Nooooo.... first we have to spend our money on a theatrical editions only version. But then, we can always blame the studio's and distributors for that.

Sadako of Girth
Man that stinks...

queeq
What did you expect?

Sadako of Girth
Well.....guess I should've expected stinkage.

queeq
Same with the Avatar Blu ray... or the Watchmen Blu Ray...

Kazenji
Does'nt really bother me have'nt started on Blu-ray's.

Sadako of Girth
It didnt with me at first either, upscaled dvd is pretty good, but these newer releases look that bit sharper, more information packed and in the case of Robocop, they remastered and made ED-209 look convincing somehow.

Things like that and Blade Runner just have to be seen in that format.

So Queeq...Whats the deal with Avatar....?

queeq
There's a Blu Ray. THat's it really. You can get access to online extras. But in NOvember are more extended editions comes out, with something like 20 minutes of extra footage etc etc... You know the drill... they all do it.

Sadako of Girth
Might wait 'til then...

queeq
Yes, but I decided no too. I am waiting for the Watchmen Complete Cut though.

Sadako of Girth
I got the 2 discer, plus the Tales from the black freighter release too.

Patient_Leech
300 is is fun, but silly. Watchmen was pretty good, but probably suffered some from being too true to the novel. And Sucker Punch f#cking sucked.

Sadako of Girth
I didn't like 300.

Liked Watchmen though.

Kazenji
Snyder's Dawn Of Dead Remake was pretty good, Be good to see him do another movie that does'nt involve CGI.

Patient_Leech
Oh, hmm... I didn't even know Snyder did Dawn of the Dead. It was entertaining and funny.. it was fun to laugh at. I mean, it wasn't bad, just silly... for example: what was the point of the zombie baby?! lol

Sadako of Girth
Havent seen it yet. Will keep my eyes open for it.

queeq
It's allright.... But... it has running zombies...

Sadako of Girth
Premier League Football players?

queeq
Nah... not that scary.

Sadako of Girth
And better behaved, presumably.

Kazenji

Nothing wrong with running zombies.

Sadako of Girth
'Some of my very best friends are running zombies'... stick out tongue

queeq
Hehehe...

Well, there is this thing about running zombies...

Patient_Leech
Lol

I've never really understood why some people have a problem with running zombies. It just depends on what universe you want to create.. but some people are just adamant: "No, zombies do not run!"

Kazenji
There's been plenty of things where the running zombies have worked besides Dawn Of The Dead remake.

Sadako of Girth
Like political Campaigns... And they also populate TV shows like 'Xfactor' and 'The only way is Essex' and 'Jersey shore'.

Patient_Leech
laughing

I mean, it kind of makes them more scary if they can run. Right?

Kazenji
Yeah when they're slow moving you could just walk up to them and punch them out

i remember from the Night Of The Living Dead Remake the Tom Savini one a bunch of bikers where doing that.

queeq
Still the original Dawn of the Dead or the recent Walking Dead series shows that slow movies zombies are a force to be reckoned with.

The point is: they are dead. High speed running means a lot of energy and that's what zombies lack. It was fun to see the running baddies in 28 Days Later but these were infected people that were alive.

Sadako of Girth
I agree with Queeq on this.

The phrase "Like a zombie" has always been synonymous with real slow/languid/cumbersome actions or conditions.

It is never used to describe speed, focus, aggressive bursts of movement.

Patient_Leech
Different strains of zombie viruses (strokes) for different folks (filums). stick out tongue

Sadako of Girth
Yeah but thats like saying different cats (fish) for different petshops.

And generally speaking, a trout will be shit at catching mice.

Patient_Leech
You lost me, sir. no expression

Sadako of Girth
Well it was sticking with your analogy.

It pointed out that if a cat (zombie) doesnt look like a cat, doesnt act like a cat, doesnt smell like a cat, its not a cat....it might be something else like a fish (Rage infected living human).

Theres only so far you can stretch a definition of something before it becomes something else.

Patient_Leech
I was merely making a pun on the cliche, "Different strokes for different folks."

Sadako of Girth
Sure. Thats accepted...

And Im sure you know where Im coming from in my Zombie classification justification now.

queeq
We all know that. wink

Sadako of Girth
The Walking Dead has moderately paced Zombies.

Thats a great show, although much of the second season was similarly zombie paced til nearer it's end.

queeq
I have only seen season one.

Sadako of Girth
You like it?

queeq
It was pretty good... I did feel it started going down a bit along the way. I felt that our main character found his family way too soon. They could have let that strand last for one or two seasons.

Plus I thought they ditched the guys in the city protecting the elderly way too soon. So a tad sketchy. Episode 1 was classic though. Hope season two picks up.

Sadako of Girth
The pace slows a bit a few episodes in, setting more pieces on the board...and that, I would say pays off nicely by the end of the 7 episode run (They're doing this season as two 7 episode sections...)

queeq
Ah okay... well, anyway I WILL be looking out for it. I did enjoy it.

Until then, I have still have quite a bit of Breaking Bad to watch. YAAYY!

Sadako of Girth
big grin

Awesome series.

the ninjak
2nd season redeemed the show. It's grounding itself inside comic canon while presenting a few surprises.

Farm girl is hot.

Sadako of Girth
Alive for now.

queeq
Yum...

Lauren Cohan.

Sadako of Girth
Yes indeed.

Many things would be bought for a dollar.

Sadako of Girth
A messed up one, at that!

queeq
Too bad most of them don't work here.

But the beer one was excellent. Opening line by Marcy was equally brilliant: unlike evolution I won't let you off the hook, Al... laughing out loud

Sadako of Girth
Ah shit. sad

laughing out loud Yeah the writing for every character on that show was gold.
Well rounded writing..

queeq
Superb and well evolved within the show.

Sadako of Girth
Over 11 years.

queeq
Exactly.

Sadako of Girth
Remember this?

8GFq6usPg6U

the ninjak
Yeah! Psycho Dad. I loved it when Kelly sat next to him while he sang the song.

And I haven't laughed so hard after watching the Babe Magnet video. Al is King!

Sadako of Girth
Yeah a rare Father/Daughter bonding moment for them both...!
He is indeed. Forever.

And that Psycho Mom too.

And the outrage of the time Marcy campaigned to get Psychodad taken off the air....causing NO MA'AM to march on congress..

queeq
Claasic modern history. Give the man a statue.

Sadako of Girth
I agree.

The very pinnacle of how to be a man.

queeq
Psychodad!!!

Sadako of Girth
Killed his wife who weighed a tonne.

the ninjak
Who's that ridin into the Sun.
Who's that man with the itchy gunnnn.
Who's that man who kills for funnnnnn.
Psycho Dad........Psycho Dad.

But he loves his sonnnn........lol.

Killed his wife cause she weighed a tonne.......

PSYCHO DAD!!!!

Sadako of Girth
Truely inspirational.

queeq
Let's all pray to the god of psychodads

Sadako of Girth
Hail Bundy!

queeq
OMG.. just finished series 4 of Breaking Bad... f*&*&*&ing AWESOME...

Doesn't look like there's gonna be a series 5 though.

Sadako of Girth
Hahahahaha! Told ya!!!!! Knew you as a connoisseur of great plot and acting would love it!

There most assuredly is..!! There are things that need tying up.

queeq
They need to expand big time on small leads...

Indeed a season five, the last. Damn, this great. I hope they don't screw it up in the finale.

Sadako of Girth
They were talking about 2x8 Episode seasons.
And even possibly a movie at one point.

Id rather it be the one of 16.

queeq
THat's what I read it would be...

Sadako of Girth
Well hopefully thats what they've settled with.

queeq
Me too.

Sadako of Girth
Its certainly a torturous wait.

But i will avoid any and all spoilers though, as rarely have I consistantly enjoyed a series as I have with Breaking Bad.

queeq
It's grand...

Sadako of Girth
Yup.

Why were our teachers never like Mr.White?

queeq
errr... I think the Mr. White BEFORE the diagnosis is very much like out teachers.

Sadako of Girth
You mean a ticking time bomb waiting to erupt evil magma upon the world? I thought that was our job as students and followers of the career of Lucas... stick out tongue

queeq
laughing out loud

Sadako of Girth
'Super' style!!

queeq
Which I haven't seen... sad

Sadako of Girth
Yet. shifty

George Lucas Recalls Filming The First STAR WARS; Calls It "Painful And Unpleasant"

lol this post

Sadako of Girth
laughing out loud Exactly. He just let his disdain just roll out on us, didn't he...

queeq
laughing out loud

He shouldn't be whining... he worked is butt off, had a hard time, a very hard time but he delivered the most groundbreaking film of the past four decades... WTF is he complaining about?

Spielberg likes to tell how he still wakes up occasionally in nightmare where he still has to finish Jaws, the movie that launched his career sky high. Yet, he never talks bad about it or keeps changing it. Lucas could show a bit of pride... he did something amazing, despite the limitations.

Now, the PT on the other hand, that DIDN'T have limitations... wink

Sadako of Girth
Yeah... THATs the bit where his shame and frustration is still due.

queeq
I never hear him complain about how sucky that was... When will someone tell him?

Sadako of Girth
Tell him more/again, you mean?
