An Avengers/X-men event written by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung- the creative team who were responsible for the Young Avengers!!!!

The Young Avengers are the stars of this story as two of their members, the kids of the Scarlet Witch, go with the team, looking for Wanda Maximoff!!!!!

I think this could be really good. It's a crossover with A-list talent and Cheung is, IMO, one of the best comic book artists, ever.

Plus we finally get to see what Wanda's been up to since H.o.M.

Thoughts?

Anyone remember how the historic children's crusade ended? Here's hoping the writers mirror it and the whole thing is hyper-tragic.

I take it you're not a fan of the Young Avengers? I thought their 12 issue series was brilliant. I have the oversized hardcover and it is nothing short of gorgeous, IMO.

If this is anything like that.....certainly worth the read.

Original Smurph
Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed the original YA series. Nice to see that they're finally not an afterthought and a source to pull characters from for extra tie-ins, but are seriously involved in something bigger in the MU.

I thought Scarlet Witch and her kids were gone. I don't know, I haven't kept up with most X-books.

Another nice find Willrules.

I'm hoping there a connection between HOPE, Jean, and Wanda.

For sure Wanda can never be part of Avengers again or be excepted by hero community, unless reality wrap? lolz

Ohh, I was under the impression that her kids weren't real, and she ended the mutant gene, then after that was gone along with her kids.

As for her, I'm pretty sure she's been seen powerless since House of M... mmm

Yeah, Hawkeye went to find her, and found her as a powerless girl with no memory of being the Witch.

But he was in her house, and she had said not to go in a room, because her aunt would be angry or something, then later Clint went to open the door and when he touched the door handle he was burnt.

So Bendis made sure there is a way to repower Wanda, with her power being hidden or contained in said room at Wundagore.

Yeah but Heinberg may not necessarily be picking up on previous continuity. In the link to the article at the top of the thread, he states how the storyline was worked out 2 years ago as a continuation of the Young Avengers series, which means, when this storyline comes out, Steve Rogers will be Cap and Iron-man will be in an older model of his armour.

Presumably this cannot be ammended because it's either integral to the story or some of the artwork was done before those changes, or both.

I assumed that they meant they came up with the concept two years ago, and are putting into place in current continuity.

Would make much more sense, and the fact he's writing the sixth issue now means that clearly they didn't decide everything two years ago...

Oh, I see. Thanks, I didn't follow hardly a thing after House of M.

I hope you're right, I'd prefer that, although, I'm happy either way....

Original Smurph
Which seems to imply that they would have changed Cap and Iron Man if they had known about their current status, and the changes are also referred to as "discontinuities", implying that everything else should be IN continuity...

I would think, anyways.
