Respect the Gambling Boogie Man who doesn't play fair. Oogie Boogie is the main antagonist in Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and is one of Disney's best villains ever.
Oogie Boogie is a huge pile of insects inside a potato sack-like outfit. Oogie's true appearence is that of a single bug called the Leader Bug, which can command any insects near it. Oogie likes gambling (the casino-like lair in the movie supports this), and both fears and despises Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town.
Before the evnts of the movie, Oogie Boogie was the icon of a holiday called Bug Day, a holiday dedicated to insects. The holiday started to die when not that many people were into it. Oogie discovered Halloween Town and attempted to make it Bug Town by unleashing an army of bugs to invade it but both the army and Oogie Boogie were defeated by Jack Skellington. Oogie's defeat led him to fear the skeleton.
In the movie, Oogie's boys, Lock, Shock, and Barell, captured Santa Claus and took him to Oogie Boogie for fun. Oogie plotted to dump Santa in his snake and spider stew but this was thwarted when Jack Skellington arrived to save Santa and Sally (who also got captured) and ended Oogie Boogie by pulling one of his threads, which stripped the cloth away revealing the pile of insects. Most of the insects fell in the stew and the Leader Bug got stepped on by Santa (although the real Leader Bug got away so there can be spin-offs in mostly videogames).
