Oh man! All of those floppys I have in storage will now be worth something.

Floppy was so much fun. I grew up with them in the mid/late 80s. I remember my old elementary teacher saying to us: "Store and use your floppy with care; this is high tech material"

That's ok, I remember the big floppy disks. My first PC was a 286, 12 MHz, with a 20 megabit hard drive. It used the big floppys. You could store your entire program on one of those.

While my Amiga 500 and 1200 still have life them then floppys wont be dead to me.

Hunh, this is kinda a bit of bittersweet news. I used to use floppies all the time, but now that they're officially dead, no more shall I think of them.
