Seriously, I'm shocked no one has made an RT on this dude yet.

Name: Kiryu Kazuma
Nickname: Dragon of Dojima
D.O.B: June 17 (37 in Yakuza, 38 in Yakuza2 and 40 in Yakuza3)
Hieght: 184
Weight: 88kgs
Zodiac: Gemini

The following is the breif story of his and one by one, I'll post pics and a list of his feats while I progress.

Yakuza1: orphaned as young child, Kiryu grows up in the Sunflower orphanage where he grows up with Akira Nishiki and Yumi Sawamura. The man named Fuma is the one who practically raises him and eventually takes him under his wing, installing Kazuma in the Dojima family of the Yakuza family known as the Tojo clan.
Kazuma works his oyabun, Dojima. A hard-as-nails enforcer, he quickly earns the name Dragon of Dojima for being a straightshooting never say die badass that he is. after years of working loyaly and faithfully, Kazuma plans on starting his own family.
when his best friend Akira Nishiki kills Dojima, while defending Kumi from his advances, Kiryu takes the fall for his friend and tells him to take care of Kumi who has gone mentally unstable. He is sentenced to 10 years in prison where the Tojo family marks him for death. in prison he fights and survives not only prison baddies but also assassins sent after him by the Tojo family.
He is eventually released after 10 years. Once outside he discovers that Akira has changed and has started his own ruthless family known as the Nishiki Family and that despite being set free by Fuma himself, the Tojo family are not willing to let him go easily. in these 10 years and because of Nishiki's corruption, the Tojo family is now a weak, financially struggling organization plummeted in internal warfare and in search of the missing 10 billion yen. After much deliberation, Kiryu discovers that it was Yumi who stole the 10 billion from the clan that resulted in its implosion and that she's been missing since. And that Nishiki and other families have a death warrant on her head too.

In this insane turmoil, it is his chance encounter with a little girl named Haruka, who tells him that she's looking for her mother: Yumi Sawamura and shows him her pendant which is the key to the 10 billion yen.
Thus begins the journey of the two to find the one woman who is the answer to not only all the love of his life but also the one who can answer what really happened on that day 10 years ago.

Yakuza2: after the events one year ago, Kiryu adopts Haruka and decides to live a clean life. when things finally seem to be settling down for the two escaping their lives, he gets an unexpected visit from the new head of the Tojo clan, Terrada, who comes to him for advice on seeking financial help from their Osaka rivals, Omi clan, with whom they are currently on a loosing battle with. when the Omi assassins attack Terrada in front of him, Kiryu is left with no choice but get involved in the life he has tried to leave behind him. At the behest of the now critically wounded Terrada, Kiryu decides to speak to the Omi alliance on his behalf. This also leaves him no choice but to meet the Tojo clan again to decide who the new ruler is going to be. Taking along the son of Dojima, Daigo, with him to the Omi headquarters, what was supposed to be a peaceful negotiation between the two clans ends up going horribly wrong when Ryuji Goda, the war mongering son of the current Omi alliance (and Kiryu's antithesis in everyway known as the Dragon of Kansai) head foments a coup detat leaving Kiryu and Daigo no choice but to fight for their lives. In the middle of it, Kiryu is arrested by the police where the beautiful (albeit a little too skinny for my taste) detective Sayama is under order to make sure Kiryu is brought back safely to Tokyo. She, however, has her own history with the Yakuza who killed her family and somehow Ryuji and Kiryu are both connected to her past. Embroiled in the middle of political intrigue and trying to prevent an all out war between the clans (of which Tojo are likely to face extinction), Kiryu and Sayama fight through hordes of baddies and struggle against time to stop the ensuing battle that is likely to kill thousands...and ultimately the battle of destiny between the two dragons!

This is Kiryu bringing the pain in a way only Kiryu can! this is compilation of Kiryu kicking the shizzack out of dudes in Yakuza1 and Yakuza2

Here, Kiryu's badassness gets an upgrade (just when you thought it wasn't possible) for Yakuza3. Seriously, from Yakuza one to Yakuza 3, Kiryu's gone from a one man army to a stampede.

-Kiryu can pick up large men and toss 'em around like there's no tomorrow.
-As someone who relies heavily on his size and physical strength (but not only his strength) Kiryu does moves that make a pro-wrestler look bad.
-as someone who predominantly fights barehanded (he always shows up barehanded to fights even when he knows his opponents are armed with weapons) he's proficient in wrestling, karate, jujitsu, boxing, kick boxing, grappling and various other disciplines.
-kenjitus (sword fighting), firearms and virtually all types of weapons including blunt, everyday objects that he uses as weapons including street signs and even pliers smile
-He can make people flip backwards in the air with force of his punches. here in the first 20 seconds we see not only the strength of his punches but also the speed with which he moves around and takes out people
-he can toss heavy ass men easily in the air
-he can dodge bullets and evade them with ease
(all these feats can be seen here)

1) he punches the tiger away in one blow at 3:35
2) he literally holds the tigers paws off him at 3:53

Kiryu Kazuma fighting is like the Kenshiro of videogames. Here he's offing hundreds of armed opponents...and it won't be the first time he's doing it

Here Kiryu's fighting one tough old geyser. This guy was past his prime but still a beast. This guy was able to kick so hard, someone weighting 88kgs like Kiryu flew through the air.

physical strength. Kiryu not only stops a charging bull but tosses it aside at 6:00....after taking down at 20 armed men right before that!! :awe:

clear and obvious bullet dodging and handspeed feat at 3:49

Effyeah.

The only man who can become the champion in an underground fighting tournament, flatten faces on the pavement, snap spines on telephone poles, smash bikes/signposts/crates/those little round doll-things over random punks' heads, score with half a dozen hostesses, abolish the illegal happenings of the Tokyo underworld, run an orphanage in Okinawa, enjoy some quality time with his little girl/goddaughter, and make it in the top ten in the local Karaoke club's scoreboards, all on a nearly annual basis.

If Ryo Hazuki ever gets off his ass, he's gonna want to scout his old turf for some pointers on this man's moves. It's not everywhere you find a man who can develop his own new techniques by vlogging with a cameraphone.

It wasn't until Yakuza 4 that we finally met a character-Taiga Saejima-who managed to go toe-to-toe with the Dragon of Dojima and NOT end up in a bloody pulp (and this was after the guy washed up on shore right in fornt of Kiryu's house after a night of prison brawling and break-outs).

BeyondTheGrave
damn straight. Saejima actually went toe to toe with Kiryu.....he even managed to make Kiryu admit he was impressed by him. the fact that Saejima was just washed over on shore and had several wounds the night before only makes it more awesome!

what was funny was, we spend the middle part of the game playing Akiyama and the police-cop/f@g and you're lead to believe on how tough and insane they are because they're beating tons of armed people left and right. then they take on Kiryu in a two-on-one scenario and he pretty much just smacks the shite out of them both...then runs off to rescue Saejima laughing

Earlier scenes made me wonder the real point of the fight. Supposedley he was testing Saejima, but if I were in Kiryu's shoes, I'd be pretty pissed off at anyone who almost (albeit inadvertantly) violated my underage goddaughter...

...God, that scene was hilarious laughing out loud

But don't be hatin' on Tanimura, now. He gets pretty beast fully upgraded. His karaoke cheering sucks though laughing out loud.

Kiryu on the other hand, is the jack-AND-master-of-all-trades, including Karaoke:

Machine Gun Kiss

Kamurocho Lullaby
