Rogue Jedi
All the dinosaurs from "Jurassic park" versus all the jungle creatures from "Avatar", flyers included.
All out battle on Endor. Kill or be killed.
Who wins?

Who wins? can you watch both movies again and from there do a count how many dinos and creatures there were in each movie ?
Rogue Jedi
No haermm
Let's say, for arguments sake, that the numbers are close to equal.

Rogue Jedi
Well, I think Avatar, due to the sheer number of flyers.
KingD19
Avatar's creatures were on average more deadly it seemed.
Rogue Jedi
OK let's say that only a certain number of flyers are allowed. How many then?
RE: Blaxican
In Jurassic Park a man with a hunting rifle was able to take down the strongest animal on the park. In Avatar bullets fired from giant mechs were bouncing off of the skin of Pandora's animals.

RE: Blaxican
Er, yeah they did.
In fact, in Lost World the same T-Rex was dropped twice by a hunting rifle armed with tranquilizer darts. That's. . . how they got it to San Diego.

I'm pretty sure that only happened to the rhino type creatures and not all of them.
Rogue Jedi
Yeah, T Rex would be a hoss in this battle.

Indeed. I couldn't remember which one so I used a vague reference.
Point still stands, though. If gunships and mechs with auto cannons attached to their forearms can't handle Pandora's creatures, JP dinosaurs can't either.
Rogue Jedi
Yeah I'm thinking Pandora pwns here. Be interesting to see the Velociraptors at work though.

Well, I know that gravity is lighter on Pandora and Endor is comparable to Earth's gravity. So, the Pandora creatures will be less mobile. I think Pandora's "surface-level" gravity was .8 of earth's. That can be pretty significant. Jumping around could break bones with that much of a difference.
However, I'm not anywhere near a "cross-planatary kinematics and anatomy doctor".

It's possible that the creatures would work just fine on a higher gravity planet. Logic would dictate that they would be best adapted at their own gravity, however. So, Imma go with increased risk of mobility injuries on the Pandora creatures side. Hell, the fliers may not even be able to fly very well. Air is thicker, though. Dang. I dunno. Too hard to decide.
Def the Pandora creatures, though.

Pandora population dwarfs that of Jurassic Park. Even if they're equal. The Na'Vi are expert hunters in there own right.
BruceSkywalker
i am not sure the Nav'i can hurt T-Rex or even the Raptors
Rogue Jedi
The Na'Vi aren't in this fight.
BruceSkywalker
so the flyers are all by themselves??
Rogue Jedi
The flyers, big one included, and the jungle creatures.
BruceSkywalker
I think the T-Rex's are too much for the Pandoran creatures, all they gotta do is start biting them out of the air

You're forgetting about the big....16 foot long panther things, and the big things that charge you.

not really, the raptors can take care if them so can the spitting lizards..
weren't there triceratops in one of the Jurassic Park films?
KingD19
raptors are not taking down those things that chased the guy in the beginning, ad that Neyteri rode at the end. I think they're called Thanators.
And yeah they had a triceratops, but either it was dying, or had was about to/had just given birth.

If the dinosaurs put together a concerted effort ala the Pandoran wildlife, they might have a shot. The raptors, Tyrannosaurs, Spinosaur, and Dilophosaurs would be the most obvious threats, but I'd argue that the sauropods and hadrosaurs could stampede through anything earthbound.
That said, they truly have no answer for the flyers. Pteranodons get ripped to shreds by the banshees, and the Great Leonopteryx alone is bigger than everything but the sauropods. I'd wager it could help kill anything JP has to offer with relative impunity, including any of the theropods.

if i remember correctly weren't the pandoran creatures had to be controlled by the na'vi
Rogue Jedi
Not "controlled", but they could be. The flyers could fly and function independently.
