Roland expands his crusade against super-human abilities to include pre-cognitive thinkers. He discovers Chris Johnson(Nick Cage's character in the movie, Next) and recruits 10 Paladins to help him bring Johnson down.


Roland discovers that Johnson is in Las Vegas doing a magic act..and targets him there. Can Johnson elude Roland and the Paladins?

no other powers, he just saw things involving his life 2 minutes in advance. imo, that's enough to make him extremely hard to catch.

Bullshit, if the Paladins know where he is (and with their gear/tech/network, that will be easy), then they catch him with ease.

Nah, he sees everything they will do in advance. it doesn't matter how organized they are 'cause he gets extremely detailed visions of what will happen.

You just said he sees things two minutes in advance. If the Paladins, organized as they are, cut off all means of escape, his precog is nullified.

i suppose you have a point. But the people tracking him in the movie thought the same thing. They cut off all means of escape and because he knew exactly where they would be positioned, he was able to ambush them.

The Paladins are a lot more skilled though, so maybe it wont matter.

Did Chris use guns? Any weapons? How did he ambush them?

No guns or weapons really.

Basically, he saw exactly where they would be located, (where they would go) and waited for them to go to opportune spots and then simply slipped past them. Once he has a vision, it's pretty set in stone, the Paladins woudn't be able to step outside of what happened in his vision. The only way Chris gets caught is if he trips up.

Everyone trips up, Chris isn't infallible.

But really though, if we take personality out of the equation and Chris wanted to just kill them, this would be no contest. In the movie he never used deadly force, change that one element and the Paladins are screwed.

holy crap, Griffin with precog abilities would be a beast. I can't wait til the next movie.
