Did you all think Leia had forgiven Vader? Or did you not think anything of it? I was reading wookipedia cuz I'm just so damn awesome and found out that Leia didn't forgive her father until after ROTJ, I mean he did kill her foster parents and everyone on her planet without mercy and he also tortured her for information.

Well since Luke doesn't seem to tell her anything about what happened with Palps and Vader on the Death Star, she probably didn't know that Vader turned back to the light until after ROTJ, which makes it logical that she couldn't forgive her father until she actually knew he had saved Luke.

And ofcourse, there's always the EU.

I think maybe afterwards luke had told her, she knew her father had turned back to the light side but she still struggled to forgive him, but after I saw ROTJ I thought all was ok with the skywalker family but I guess not

No EU.

Technically, Tarkin is the one who gave the order to destroy Alderaan. If Vader would've had that kind of juju on him, then it's likely that Leia wouldn't have been able to forgive him regardless of him saving Luke. Luke = 1, Alderaan = billions.

Which is why I'm guessing she didn't forgive daddy dearest straight away...but I'm not gonna go into the EU

I don't think that it is possible for Leia to have forgiven Vader until after ROTJ. Luke would have to tell her how he came back to the light side and gave his life so that Luke could live. I think once she had all the facts she would be able to see Vader in a different light.

He may have told her in ROTJ, we don't know

You should watch them, they are pretty good

Yup, they are very nice: great effects, good to great acting and wonderful design.

I like to watch the extended cut versions, they are long but well worth it since the extended versions give more detail to the story

Me too. I only own the EE... I hope these will come out on Blu Ray sometime soon.
