Moore's a prick who thinks his shit doesn't stink. I like some of his work, don't get me wrong, but the dude is an ass. srsly

At any rate, I personally would love to see some Watchmen spinoffs under current writing... The original series doesn't hold up well under the stressors of time, imo.

If this stops DC for doing any sequels/prequels to Watchmen, that's fine with me. Leave it alone.

Sounds like Moore is seriously butthurt.

Ah, what if...

I think there was an opportunity in the 1980's for Moore & Gibbons to take Watchmen to Marvel's Epic Comics line to publish. That was the creator owned, mature line that had several titles (Dreadstar, Marshal Law, Alien Legion) that would be published elsewhere by the creators - showing the creators did have rights. In 1987, Epic Comics Editor in Chief Archie Goodwin described in a letters column how "to his eternal envy, Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons took Watchmen to DC to publish." Imagine if it was Epic Comics; Moore could have had all the clout he wanted and enjoyed all the creator benefits, instead of the feuding with DC that has gone on for two decades now.

I support Alan Moore 100% of the time.

But when he acts like an a spoil brat or throws his tantrums I drop him like in the toilet bowl.
