All-Star Superman vs Thor

The Nuul
Thor gets Strength Belt in both.

1. No OF.

2. With OF.

Who wins?

Starscream M
ASS is about a couple logarithmic powers of 10 stronger than thor...ASS wipes Thor to the floor.

modern era OF is overrated and not much of an upgrade. technically, every asgardian has OF anyways.

psycho gundam
hope you're not basing ass' strength on that thing he pushed against while being tested, he was not under normal health then, hence the examination.

The Nuul
This is not current weak ass version.

Colossus-Big C
thor loses if he slugs it out
classic thor wins this, he has taken much more powerful than AS superman
classic thor was pretty much skyfather level at times

I like your new sig.

Colossus-Big C
i like it too

All Star Superman didn't do anything to place him above either Thor or mainstream Superman in strength. The weight he lifted was impressive I'll grant you that, but nothing to place him beyond elite Top Tiers. When we work on the scale Superman or Thor are capable off, what the hell is 200 Quintillion tons?

Thor stomps him. Especially in the second one. The Odin Force? What the f*ck?

facepalm Starscream.

Black bolt z
OF yes he stomps but ASS will either stalemate or beat him in the first sceniaro.

The Nuul
Thanks.

facepalm Starscream. Agreed. I think it's funny how people tend to throw out the 200 quintillion tons feat as though it somehow makes A/S Superman stronger than mainstream Superman. It really doesn't.

Case in point:

http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2077/supespull2.jpg
http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/7342/supespull3.jpg
http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/4377/supespull4.jpg
http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/7565/supespull5.jpg

Things to consider from the above scans:
(i) The earth's average 'weight' (converted from it's mass) is roughly 6.6 sextillion tons. That weight alone is far, FAR greater than the 200 qunitillion tons A/S lifted. (ii) Keep in mind that not only was mainstream Supes pulling the earth back into orbit, but he was pulling it against the counterproductive forces Starbreaker was simultaneously applying.

So yeah... A/S Superman, who? ermmnone

The Nuul
So, even with Strength Belt hes still no match?

I wonder where captain marvel was..

psycho gundam
ASS was still affected by the yellow starlight (before the cell damage) when he pushed that 200 quintillion object

I agree with this but the reason AS Supes is considered more powerful than Supes is because he's stated as being 3 times more powerful than normal. Also contextually to have conceivably suffered a detremental effect from yellow sun radiation, he'd have to have undergone a significant metamorphosis, and AS does a good enough job of showing that.

Colossus-Big C
its kind of stupid that people who can lift far over a trillion tons have trouble or show effort in doing things like lifting cars or putting down 100 ton max bricks
in mean these guys can use 2000 ft tall celestials as a football or something

All-Star Superman is an alternate version of mainstream Superman. He is a completely different character, from a completely different universe/actuality. That said, All-Star Supes was considered 3x more powerful than HE previously was. Not 3x more powerful than mainstream Superman is. That is what many people don't seem to be understanding.

As shown in my previous post (which I am glad you agreed with) mainstream Superman has feats that blow A/S out of the water.

So yeah... A/S Superman, who? ermmnone you can't compare that to ASS feat

thats superman's flight power...quite different from a lifting feat

theres debate on whether his flight lifting power is a different thing than pure strength

also it is a rather unquantifiable feat...as he isn't lifting earths weight...he's pulling it in space with help from GL

And Hal wasn't helping Supes pull anything. He just created the claw/harness construct.

yes

Also pulling the Earth is very impressive, but it does not mean that he is pulling the equivilent of 6.6 sextillion tons. Why? Because that would be the weight of the earth if the gravity working on it was 9.8 m/s^2. I am not sure what the Sun's gravity is on the earth though, it may be higher or it may be less (Although it is likely far less). Still he is pulling around an awful lot of mass...

Edit: The Sun's graviatantial pull on the Earth would actaully be less than the 9.8 as Earth pull on us must be greater than the Suns otherwise we would fall toward the sun.
