Ultimate spiderman clone saga, for me that storyline was amazing and soooo much better than the original

Ultimate 3/Ultimatum was pure genius: Loeb completly revamped this universe, and maked him more violent, and more gritty. Pretty nice!

As for DOTNG, again, pure genius. Best work of Starlin, hands down!

Do you really think I'm serious? OMD/BND/OMIT is probably the biggest kick in the balls ever done by a major company to the fans. Just for that, I stopped following Spider-Man. It's a kick in the balls, followed by a pimpslap, an another kick in the balls and an elbow drop.

Ultimate 3/Ultimatum was garbage.

DOTNG was garbage too. But not as much as Ultimate 3 and Ultimatum was.


No, my real three picks would be:

1- Annihilation
2- Ultimate 1 and 2
3- The Watchmen

And right now, I'm currently reading the entire Batman: The Long Halloween arc

There was a ton of other arcs could have suggested here. If Y: The Last Man was counted as one large 60 issue, arc that would be up there.

I don't know really. I seriously prefer marvel, but Alan Moore, Morrison and Gaiman.

After putting that post up, I stand by my choices but there are sooooo many I could have gone with. I didn't pick Blackest Night as it's so recent, but that's certainly up there. I remember buying the first 4 volumes of Scott Pilgrim when the 4th had just come out and thinking that it was one of the greatest comics I've read.....

I have a lot of respect for the often cited works like Watchmen or The Dark Knight or Kingdom Come, but as well crafted as they are, some more random works just jump out at me more. I thought the opening arc to Ultimate X-men was brilliant. Morrison's opening arc on JLA was epic, as was his opening arc on the more recent Batman and Robin. Prior to reading the first 26 issues of Ultimates, I would have put the original Secret Wars at the top of my list.

My top four story arcs of all time include the following:

1. Justice
2. Kingdom Come
3. Final Crisis
4. Day of Vengeance (I love mages, so I had to include this event)

As you can tell, I mostly read Dc. However, I would like to mention Joss Whedon run on the X-men because thanks to him I started reading Marvel characters. I've gone back and collect both trades and individual issues from my favorite characters. Ever since them, I've grown to love Daredevil, Elektra, Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Silver Surfer. So with that said, Those are my top four comic events.

Great choices buddy!! I love Final Crisis, and Kingdom Come. I guess great minds think alike. ... I have yet to read Emperor Joker, Great Darkness Saga and Watchmen. I'm looking forward to read all the trades you've mentioned because you clearly have awesome choices.

Since recent readings, I change my vote:

Marvel:
1- Annihilation
2- Ultimate 1 and 2
3- The Incredible Hercules (admit that you haven't see it coming, did you? :P)

Incredible Hercules was a top notch story, great humor, great action, great plot... What else could be said? As good as Planet Hulk, but there was a "je-ne-sais-quoi" in this story line that I loved. My only regrets is that Pak will break the dynamic with his new story line "The Chaos King"...


DC:
1- The Watchmen (obvious choice)
2- Batman: The Long Halloween (I finished reading it, the best 125$ thing I bought)
3- There's a lot of DC Classics I want to read, but right now, I'll say World War 3
