Not rationally. There's no reason for me to really be proud, though I admit, I do feel happiness when I hear good things about Germany. Group allegiance, even if just subconscious, is a very powerful thing.

Though I was of course just joking, I don't think US Americans are more or less stupid than Europeans.

IMO, she spews hatefulness and spitefulness because she knows there's a certain population of people in America that feel this way and want to say the things she says ("bomb the ragheads", "Liberalism is a cancer" etc), but are afraid to, so they listen to her, buy her books and make her rich. The joke was, that even Japanese and Koreans outsource their ninja making to China because it is so cheap, like many other countries and companies that have their goods made for very cheap by the Chinese.

If Japan & China were to have a conventional war then Japan would kick China's ass so bad due to the fact that the Chinese Navy is so poorly equipped compared to Japan's & not to mention they have the 2nd biggest defence budget in the world after the US.

Regardless, I wouldn't put much stock in a single poll. You can pretty much find isolated polls/surveys supporting any position, including polls that contradict each other. It's all about sample sizes and consistency, plus how the things constructed..

Unemployment statistics are notorious for their imprecise formula..

I believe Germany has a more accurate methodology, but their unemployment rates look higher because of it.

It's a fact that the unemployment census doesn't count people who give up looking after so many months, for starters. There's a lot of things wrong with how they count the unemployed, much less the underemployed..
