StarCraft2
Its scary, I hope the doctor gives me good news.

King Castle
i hope you get good news.. may you and your child be healthy. big grin

StarCraft2
NO... I am not pregy laughing out loud

Its actually an injury on my left leg due to repeated leg kicks and since its non fracture It has to be done in ultrasound instead of an Xray. Theres a bruit that can be palpated whenever I have a valsalva maneuver. My trainer told me not to fight/spar until I get my leg fixed.

§P0oONY
It's an ultrasound...

srug

.... on a leg....

Scary....

ermm

King Castle
maybe its a small floating piece of broken bone.. had one in my ankle it had broken off, it would click when i walk..i refused surgery b/c i didnt trust the military surgeons. it went away on its own body probably just pushed it out somewhere else.

Ax3l
I had an ultrasound to check to see if I have gall stones.

****ing hurt like a god damn shit ****er.

Had to bury it deep into my tissue to get a picture. With full force, the ultrasound **** dug further and further into me.

Rogue Jedi
Hmm?

StarCraft2
Reasons its scary

1) NO HEALTH INSURANCE (my work/health insurance has not kicked in yet) Meaning this will burn my savings/checking account

2) I cant do what I love. (MMA)

3) I cant lift weights/exercise (since the force of my body pushes blood outside of the vein or into interstitial space. (may cause DVT/Phlebitis and increase the chances of having heart attack/stroke if left untreated)

4. Herniated vein with sharp pain during standing/walking

SO YEA ITS FUKIN SCARY

Lesson learned: Stepping back to avoid leg kicks is much better than checking leg kicks.

2,3. Boo hoo?

4. That's what the ultrasound is for... Diagnostics.

Peach
The equipment is ridiculously expensive, though. As is the training to properly read the results.

StarCraft2
results are in.

Gonna be broke for these 2 weeks. (due to expensive kaiser permanente hospital services) sad

superficial hematoma. (no fighting/avoid being kicked on legs. i can do technical drills. if i have to fight, I MUST DO SOUTH PAW STANCE not orthodox) sad

lift few weights but limited not to have valsalva sad

ibuprofen bid + stocking compression + heating pad (MD orders)

What a relief! eek!

A scanner doesn't cost that much really, it's one of the cheaper pieces of medical equipment... and s single machine can be used dozens if not hundreds of times a day. An average ultrasound scan takes no time at all.

its not a hose. its a venous compression stockings to prevent blood pooling inside my leg. I will look like a cross dresser while wearing this and kicking butt in MMA laughing

Peach
And it's still expensive. And the scans are only quick if the person doing it knows what they're looking for and can quickly interpret what they're looking at.

My aunt's a radiologist. I know a teeny bit about this sort of thing.

Bardock42
Holy shit you pay 4000 USD for an ultrasound?

You guys definitely get bend over and taken to brown town...

StarCraft2
my paycheck can handle it. but since its gonna come at ever 5th and 20th of the month. im gonna be a broke azz from now till 20th.

Well, anything that's at all socialized is bad.

I actually do have health insurance, and I'd still probably have to pay about half that out of pocket if I had to go in for an x-ray or ultrasound ermm

RE: Blaxican
Yeah it's ridiculously expensive. I got a CT scan about a month ago, and it cost 5 grand. Fortunately my Mom's health care covered it so it only cost us 200 bucks.

Rogue Jedi
My health insurance kicks ass, as long as you go to the doctor they choose.

My aunt's a radiologist. I know a teeny bit about this sort of thing. A scanner really isn't expensive in the grand scheme of things. There is no way to justify $4K... You guys get done... Simple as that.

You know how much an ultrasound scan costs me? $0... You know how much I pay for health care? $0

StarCraft2
heres the total bill

100 for appointment
220 for the MD consult

50 for an ultrasound appointment
750 for an ultrasound procedure

total of 1120 dollars just to cure an injury from a leg kick no expression

King Castle
dont pay it,, what they gonna do break your legs? shifty

StarCraft2
paid by debit already its automatic transaction. damn u visa.

(>^^)>

StarCraft2
Claim it as accident. It's sparring training gone wrong and everyone at my workplace that I fight, so they understand my circumstances

King Castle

StarCraft2
I will try.
