Classic Dr. Doom would be cut into pieces in my opinion. A thousand fights against The Fantastic Four wouldn't prepare you for a savage, out for blood, God of War. Current Doom manhandles Ares. I think Doom could match Morgan Le Fay's turn Ares into a statue act. Doom's magic is the key.

DC or Marvel Ares?? They both lose but one loses harder

DC Ares is a very powerful god, much above Marvel's. Without prep on Doom's part, DC Ares wins.

DC Ares stomps. Marvel Ares loses mostly because he sucks.
