This is not a thread pitting the Greasers (from "The Outsiders" versus The Warriors (from "The Warriors", read on....


The Greasers are in the same position as the Warriors were. They attend the meeting where Cyrus speaks. Cyrus is shot. Luther (leader of the Rogues) frames the Greasers for it. The Greasers are on the run. They must "bop" their way back to Coney Island, just like the Warriors did.

The Greasers included are as follows: Darryl, Sodapop, and Ponyboy Curtis. Johnny Cade, Dallas Winston, Two Bit Matthews, Steve Randle.



Do they make it? They must do the same thing the Warriors did.

If they were doing it for Johnny, maybe. Like this, not a chance.

I think they clear. Dallas Winston is a better fighter than any of the Warriors, Darry was a good leader, at least as good as Swan, AND a better fighter.

Hell, Soda and Steve would just steal a car.

Better fighter? I dunno bout that. The Outsiders fought preppy boys lead by Leif Garret, Warriors took on multiple gangs, some armed and some in much larger numbers.

Er, Dallas took out at least ten Socials in a row at the rumble. And they were rich boys, but they weren't sissies. He was at maybe half strength too, right out of the hospital.

Notice at 2:46 and 3:45 in the second clip, both Warriors face off against a bat-wielding opponent and put them down and out after a couple moves. While the Outsiders just beat upon their sloppy foes who do get back up.

Don't think the Outsiders could have survived in their world. Great film though.

Dallas put fools down? How many fight scenes do you even remember with him in it... he was in like 2 tops. And he got shot because Johnny died. If they have no motivation like they did for Johnny it doesn't matter. They could give a shit in reality about the scenario the warriors were in. They were way closer than the warriors were. So they actually cared about stuff that mattered.

Fools who got back up after being punched in the face. Not saying he's shit, but several of the Warriors are well above him, as shown in the clips.

A few yes, not the top guys though, Swan, Ajax, Afro-guy etc. would stomp his ass.

But to the point, the The Outsiders as a group wouldn't likely make it to Coney Island in the same scenarios.

Like I said, in the same scenario, Outsiders aren't making it.

Giving them a gun or allowing them to steal a car now, that obviously changes things around and isn't the same scenario type of situation. EG when the Furies attacked, he'd just have to point the gun and that would be that.

Well, you failed to see how Dallas cutting a swath through Socials is relevant. Dallas would kick the shut outta Ajax, rape Swan in the butt, then one by one pimpout the rest.

You failed to see how he wouldn't, he was fighting fairly sloppy and fighting rich man-boys.

While both Swan and Ajax were precise and calculating with their attacks, against bat-wielders trying to brain them.

Swan, Ajax, Cochise, Snow; hell even guys like Fox and Rembrandt would stomp. The Warriors were all shown to be great fighters...even the soft-hearted artist of the group.

Dally was a brawler. He wasn't fancy, he just got the job done. He'd piss in Swan's face after KOing him.

Also, Darrell....Why do you think Dally was afraid of him? Why do you think Dally was afraid of "getting his head kicked in" by him? Because Darrell was even more badass. In the rumble, Darrell is taking out Socs left and right, AND saving Ponyboy's sorry ass.

You think Dallas is hitting Swan enough to drop him before Swan puts him down? Even after seeing the clips I posted? No, dude, just no. That was a failtality.

Yeah, Darrell was a solid fighter; I've give him good odds against Swam or Ajax, but that's just one outsider that can compete well here.

Dallas had better screen feats than Ajax, Swan and Darrell.

You know, I made a mistake in having the Greasers do everything the Warriors did. The Warriors, they were idiots. Examples:

1. They shoulda stole a car.
2. They shoulda hid their colors.
3. They shoulda sropped a quarter into a phone and called one of their brothers in CI for a ride.

The Greasers? Soda or Steve would have stolen a car, they would clear without incident, with every member intact.

Not changing anything, mind you, just saying.
