Ya, stupid people, but why should the rest of us learn that? It seems to me that there are a lot more important things in life to learn.

It reminds me of a time when I was talking to gun collector. I told him I understand collecting rare or unique guns, but why would someone need a dozen M16s? His only reply was that he liked M16s.

XD he's preparing for ZA? I don't know, you really don't need a ton of guns, just a ton of ammunition with a few guns. Besides, the M-16 is going downhill compared to some of the new models, despite the fact that they are still in service. I'm amazed at how long things have stayed in service o.o the M1911 has a long date of service and I heard that they plan to replace the M9 with the M1911 as the primary sidearm in service. :O AMAZING!

I'm saddened that some people actually think that 'people' need to know anything about guns, let alone something trivial like a clip and a magazine not being the exact same thing.

It is specifically because people (including myself) were incorrectly referring to magazines in the Zombie thread as clips. Seems hypocritical that people who pretend to know a lot about guns, call magazines clips, eh? (That was really her point. She could have said it in the thread, but she wanted to make it a point of focus rather than have it be overlooked.)

That much was obvious. The majority of those posting in this thread were aware that this was in reference to that.

Edit- And this is far from the first time that a thread was made that had "inside" meaning or reference.

Besides, she wanted everyone to know this, not just those in the thread. Like it or not, the next time you ever speak about a clip or a magazine, you will probably remember this thread and call it properly. Video games, movies, etc. Whatever you're talking about, she may have just saved you from looking ignorant.

True, but those threads usually start with ''In reference to what Bardock said in the other thread, about male on male fellatio...'' or something like that. That way, I, and other people with me know that the thread is of no interest to me/us, and I/we can proceed to do some shit I/we want/wanted to do. This is no big deal however.

But I am ignorant about guns. Knowing the difference between a clip and magazine isn't going to save me from looking ignorant. Besides, I don't see myself talking about guns with anyone on the internet, let alone in real life where I speak an entirely different language, so knowing the difference between the English words for them won't help me anyway.

I don't think you really understand, if dadudemon were to make a thread about nutrition or gym routines, I would ignore it simply because it doesn't interest me. In this case, the sentiments you seemed to express in your OP triggered my anti-American alter ego to express it's annoyance with talk of guns, hunting etc. The reason I said I think it's ridiculous that you think people should know anything about guns wasn't because I find them incredibly uninteresting, but because I ethically disagree with guns being legal in America and such.

Also, it's kinda hard for me to concentrate at the moment, so I apologise for any incoherence in this post.
