It's marvels first real all-encompassing event since Secret Invasion. They said it'll be instrumental in changing the marvel universe kinda like Civil War. I think it may have something to do with Dracula's rise to power which has been talked about for a while now.

Marvel is clearly pushing Dracula, which is actually pretty smart, he really hasn't gotten much of a push despite the fact back in the day he was pretty much everywhere with Tomb of Dracula.

Other than House of M Wolverine really hasn't had a role in any of Marvels events in the past decade, so if he isn't in this it would be the status quo.

I'm guessing they left out characters that receive the "they're everywhere" complaint since Spiderman and Deadpool are absent too.
