No, but he has to be able to lock eyes with Graviton. Who can pin him to the ground, hurl him into space, or blast him across the Earth as soon as the fight starts.

With basic knowledge of each other, and the starting distance, no he can't. And he can look at Graviton all he wants, but unless he can lock eyes with him for a bit, penance stare won't work. Graviton however can fly up out of reach, and crush GR to dust, or any number of things.

GR doesn't stand a chance.
