Scythe
Good ole Satan here:

Has decided to start a one man band, cuz he can, he's Satan. He has powers. He decides to convert the coliseum into his own concert hall where he will welcome one band to try and stop his armageddon causing songs.
http://newmexicoindependent.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/roman-coliseum-photo.jpg
To up the stakes, while Satan plays he is able to summon an army of Clovie monsters to wreck shit up ala Scott Pilgrim/Final Fantasy summons. They will be summoned three at a time, so three fresh clovies will be spawned upon the death of all three..

That's some heavy shit, right?
Now to stop his ass:
Assemble a band that's composed of a bassist and/or guitarist, a singer and a drummer. Think outside the box when considering a drummer since there's only a handful I can think of. Keep in mind that the band must try to keep total destruction caused by the Clovies to a minimum, so they'll have help.
Once a band is assembled, choose a summon from any of these four to combat the Clovies:

Krauser III, Detroit Metal City
On Bass
http://www.waveish.com/iwave/images/10/o-scott-pilgrim-movie-poster-discovered-at-showest.jpg
Scott Pilgrim, Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World
On Guitar

Eugene Martone, Crossroads
On Drums

Garth Algar. Wayne's World
Summon: Hulk
----------
Eugene and Scott will be able to contend with Satan's licks and solos easily I would think, thanks to the experience Eugene has from goin' up against Steve Vai/Satan's little helper dooder. Garth's drumming would counter Satan's crazy ass drum solo. Krauser stood up to Jack Ill Dark/Gene Simmons, so he can handle Satan's lowly ass.
The meantime, Hulk's regeneration will be able to hold off Clovies, I think. If anything, he may tire, and that's the only way he could go down, though I'm leaning for an easy 8/10 that they achieve victory.

Holy crap. This is like...the coolest versus match in MVF thread history.

Who is your summon? Your bandmember choices are pretty boss, though that city is gonna get f*cked up unless someone says nay.
Sadako of Girth
Im going with Hellboy....
Yes...DDMs right this is a very good thread, Scythe..
Scythe
Thanks guys.
I too am on the boat that Hellboy can stand his own against three clovies. he shot the shit out of that big ass octomom thingy in the Golden Army. I was hopin' I couldn't make it too much of an overkill on either side.
Kaibs
AHH SCYTHE!! Why can't we use more than your typical band make-up. Key boards, sax, ect ect ):
Sadako of Girth
He allowed use of Del Preston, so maybe Kaos pad operators etc might not be amiss.

Up to three more bandmembers will be allowed who are able to play different instruments, they'll nee to counter Satan's violin playaing skills. They're facing a Devil Went Down to Georgia style solo battle.

General_Iroh
Vocals:
Everett - O brother where art thou
krwywj_gIjk
Guitar:
Johnny Cash - Walk The Line
zE7QPq3-gQI
Bass:
Todd Ingram - Scott Pilgrim vs. the world
O-z9gg341VY
Drummer:
Dale Doback - Step Brothers
k6dE0DckMHY
Summon would have to be Godzilla, he's got the most destructive force behind him other than probably Hellboy, but he has a limited amount of ammo and can't take as much of a hit.
I wanted to put Brennan Hugg on vocals, but I figured I should switch it up a bit and not have two step brothers characters
mikeydude
Vocals: King Diamond Fo Sho.
(The man may be Satanist, but he can kill anyone octaves with ease.)
Bass: Death (Bill and Ted's)
Guitar: DimeBag Darryl.
Drums: Mike Portnoy
(Makes Satan's Drum solo look like he was playing with pots and pans.)
PSSSHH. (Makes Satan's drumset look like pots and pans.)
And Summon: Hellboy Fo Sho.
BTW, Scythe great thread idea.
mikeydude
I take it back. I want Metallica's old Bassist as my bassist.
Zampanó
I'd go with Godzilla.
I'll have to ponder my progrock and new-age steampunk band a while longer.
Right now I have:
Craig Chaquico on Guitar
Carlos Santana on Guitar
Neil Pert Drumming
John Linnell on Stylophone
David Malki ! on steam trombone
I just can't figure out who should be on oboe, pipe organ, the 3 stand up bases, or where anyone from YES fits in.
choices, choices

Excellent choices.
Also, I forgot how hilarious Step Brothers was. I need to watch that movie, again.
"I HAVE TRAVELED 500 MILES TO GIVE YOU MY SEED!" And he is pitching a tent the whole time! lmao!
Scythe
Great choices so far, peeps. Remember, these musicians must have appeared in a film, though I'm sure most of them have. I'm surprised no one has picked the Blues Brothers, or anyone from Spinal Tap.

Thankies.
Sadako of Girth
Yeah Im slapping myself for that heinous lack of BB/Spinal Tap on my part..
That fail went to 11.
Scythe
Well, taking the BB for example, they're on a mission from god, they can auto-trump anything Satan dishes out, so they may be out of the question. I would think, since it's an auto-win on their end.
Sadako of Girth
Well this may be true indeed.
But damn it would SOUND good. lol

Dying = Paying the fiddler
So In my band, Death switches from bass to fiddle, while Eric Draven switches to bass, for that challenge.
Also If I can add two more musicians:
Brian Jones: (Sympathy for the devil movie)
Sitar (but muiti instrumentalist also)
And Ray Manzarek: (The Doors)
Keys.
Kaibs
I'll state my band when I'm back from workin out then. WOOT.
Kaibs
My band:
Piano / Keyboard: Ray Charles - Played by Jamie Foxx
Vocals: Jim Morrison - Played by Val Kilmer
Vocals: Billie Holliday - Played by Diana Ross
Guitar(s): Russell Hammond and Johnny Cash
Bassist: Paul McCartney
Jazz Flute: Ron Burgundy
Drums: Basher Martin
If we were able to add more than 3 more instruments I would of put together one crazy ass band. My extra were 1 more vocalist, the flute, and the piano.
Summon Godzilla.
Scythe
Awesome, Kaibs. Can Basher Martin stand up to the drum fury of Satan?
Blinky
My band, off the top of my head:
Vocals/ Guitar -- Pedro from "Up in Smoke"
http://www.tg-films.info/films_u/pics/smoke2.jpg
Banjo -- In-bred Banjo kid from "Deliverence"
http://www.moviemobsters.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/deliverance.jpg
Animal -- from "Muppets Take Manhattan"
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9pDWYXi9k0A/S_ZvuOPUyyI/AAAAAAAAAHA/_ceKhnrFz48/s1600/animal_drums.jpg
Bass -- Death from "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey"
http://www.listentome.net/billted4.jpg
They summom Gamera, forget those pansie monsters
http://www.filmjunk.com/images/weblog/2010/05/gamera11.jpg
Scythe
Awesome choice with Animal. Who would you choose as the summon from the four choices to keep destruction to a minimum. Remember, they're takin' on three Clovies at a time till the band beats out Satan.

I'm not sure man, but he was the best drummer at his school. And he did always have a violent rage about him. He can drum all genre's of music too from Ska to Rock so that's why he was my choice.

Should do well then.
