versatile isnt the end all people think it is. i mean a handyman is versatile, it doesnt make him more powerful, just more broadly useful

He can even trade punches with Etrigan for a bit. He is a class 100 afterall.

Nova via versatility? Etrigan is a top tier mage. There is no way he loses out on "Versatility".

Guess I've never seen any of his high end strength feats .

His strength is dynamic based upon how much nova force he accesses, but yes, he was a class 100 even back when he first received his powers from Rhomman Dey. For example, he was seen lifting up an entire apartment building in his first issue.

As for this fight, don't know much about Etrigan, but Nova has been busted up pretty badly by guys that use magic to physically amp. Back in his rookie days the Sphinx beat the living shyte out of him with amped magic, most recently Lord Mar-vell did the same using some kind of magic energy. On the flip side he has taken blows from mjolnir/Thor, Glads, Namor, Korg etc with no ill effects and has resisted magical possession, probing, spells etc.

So if this guy Etrigan uses magic to amp physically or whatever, then history shows that Dick could be in trouble here. Just my 2 cents.

hmmm. nova accessing the nova force while etrigan access the power of the stonehenge would be interesting.

How potent in DC lore is stonehenge? In Marvel cosmic lore the Nova force is supposedly one of the four primal forces of the marvel universe. The Kree know about it, the skrulls know about it, the Shi-ar know about it etc. The Sphinx got his reality, time and probability manipulation powers when he stole the secrets of the Nova force from the Xandarian World Mind.

His power was said to be near limitless with it. He was one of the 5 who tapped into the primal forces in the universe in Starlin's event. He also took on the Sentinels of Magic by himself, so, yeah, he's powerful.

I remember one time etrigan punched superman to the moon. he's stronger than nova. plus I don't see how nova can counter hellfire

Well IIRC Stonehenge amped Etrigan was taking on Fate, Zatanna, Phantom Stranger, Martian Manhunter, and a few others at the same time and doing good.

I don't even know who any of those people are, but it sounds cool I guess lol!

Phantom stranger ill give you a pss on because he is a level 2 or 3 haracter but Doctor fate is a lvl 1 character

You lack basic dc knowledge if you dont know all the level 1's

The only DC I read is the cosmic stuff ; GL corps, Rebels. etc. And I only recently started that lol!

Nova's shields should be able to counter Etrigan's hellfire. Nova force shields are pretty darn good against magic. He is also easily class 100 and can amp.

Nova's shields can defend from very potent magic. Against even a guy who manipulates time and reality.
