who takes ?

Celestials picked on the wrong gods. Are the new gods in their true forms? Doesn't matter that much, their technology is better even than celestial tech.

Not sure the stip of this battle. The Celetials are children of Eternity right? He himself is only a universe and they are weaker than he. One New God in True Form, S'ivaa was able to rip the cosmos with a fingernail and set ablaze millions of worlds. Weak new Gods can create their own universes. Of Course the New Gods also possess the Worlogog and Tech to make grandfather Boxes. On face value the Celestials win if this is the herald level portral of the New Gods. But if this is the high end level, like Granny Goodness who could take over the GL battery, then the Celetials are screwed. Besides, The ALE will work on them. Mr. Miracle and DS both have it.

All that stuff about each New God being like a Galactus (author's words), personifications of larger than life concepts doesn't matter here, since they present themselves in limited corporeal bodies/hosts (whether in their original cosmic bodies or their human ones).

What is more important is the tech weapons and devices they have that have been proven to be universal and multiversal or capable of annihilation via direct physical means, BFR etc.

Genesis Box, Worlogog, ALE, Doomtubes, Sun busters, depowering devices, god viruses etc etc They have plenty of reality warping or one shot ending devices.

What we do know.. is that NONE.. NOT ONE of the New Gods have performed multiversal feats on their own with no amp. That is what we know.

He didn't exactly shield it so much as cloak it from the Anti-Monitor and that was with tech.
