Whose energy attack is the most powerful (at full blast)?

Silver Surfer's cosmic blast

Superman's heat vision

I think Thor and SS could be tied in that department.

I dunno, Surfer's blown up planets and created black holes just from his power output.

Now Thor's other Exotic energy attacks Thor has can potentially match Surfer's output (arguably). And the Godblast blows him out of the water. But I haven't seen a basic lightning strike do planetary level destruction as the Surfer's blasts has, IIRC.

One of the best was during chaos war when he hurt the chaos king with lightning.

I agree, pretty good showing for his lightning. Tho, I do feel that it was pretty PIS-y as no one should even be able to hurt the Chaos King at that level of power. :P

But, hey, I can accept that as being Thor's standard top showing for his powers, as well. ^_^

Lightning.

Not sure on the lightning/cosmic blast placement, but the lightning has been getting props lately, so that may be reversed.

What's Surfer's most impressive cosmic blast? Destroying a planet without any noticeable effort? Thor's lightning has one shotted Hulk, stunned Odin briefly, matched Zeus' lightning/thunderbolts, incinerated the Void , stunned/dropped a weakened Galactus.

His lightning being able to even affect the Chaos King is superior to anything I've seen from the Surfer.

But looking at that list of peeps that have been harmed by Thors lighting. But I'm not sure if the op was going for straight up destructive force, or combat feats.

IIRC, Surfer zaps Air Walker with a small beam and the spot glowed. Later on, we see him flying from the center of a black hole. I have no idea whether it was a cosmic energy manipulation feat or that he generated the entire thing using his own energy. If they want to argue that it was Thor still has a superior list. I don't particuraly care.

It does say cosmic blasts but it's Starscream so who knows.

I agree with all of this BUT Surfer blast being powerful enough to open black holes and even having Thanos worried was an amusing feat and is basically hard to contend with.

thors lightning, hands down. Thors lightning has inflicted damage and even stunned elder gods and skyfathers before.

however i think people are under estimating supes heatvision. A concentrated blast of heatvision would be lethal to any high herald being for sure.

No, I think that, until I hear some good HV feats of superman, it is at the bottom. Name some good ones and I'd have reason to believe otherwise.

Holy crap seriously? Then it's no contest. Since this thread was specifically about Surfer's blasts, Thor's lightening (nothing else) and Supes Heat Vision. Superman wins hands down.

Not Thor's lightning strike.

HV is being underestimated here. I'd go Thor's lightning though.

It's a tough call. Heat vision is sorely underestimated here, that much is true.

It's powered planet moving engines.

IIRC, the heat vision was the spark that ignited the planet moving engine. It was more of a match than a battery from what I remember.
