a well fed Galactus takes this..he's in a different league than this guys..

Unless Galactus whips out the Ultimate Nullifier, he dies horribly.

Nova never took the blast, re read the story. It gives the impression he was gonna die but ported out, this issuse was settled a while ago by several other members on here.

Galactus really is in another league. Thanos is a non issue completely in this fight.

I thought he was weak at that point, but another poster pointed out that Galactus was surrounded by the cannisters that contained energy Galactus has previously absorbed when he was used as a weapon and was then absorbing that said energy.

Kinda strange then, that we have multiple comics afterwards which all deal with Galactus trying to replenish the massive loss of energy he suffered because of him being held captive. IIRC it was never mentioned or hinted, I believe, that Galactus, when he was released, gained a massive amount of energy.

@nihilist... I would agree with you for a second except that in the beta ray bill issues it clearly talks about how weak galan is... And it's hard to think that if those cannisters could have restored galactus he wouldn't have been at deaths door

If this fight happened in a comic book today, then Galactus wins with no problem. If it took place when Stan Lee was writing comics, I MIGHT go with the team.

Yeah that seems to be a aspect that Kirby and Lee never agreed on, what powerlevel Galactus operated on in comparison to the skyfathers. Kirby was rather blunt in saying that in his view Galactus and the Silver Surfer was above the mythic figures, where as Lee more saw them as something ala skyfathers. At least that is what I read out of their comments.

He did have other stuff on him.. HOWEVER, at no point was he warping reality (which is what is usually done with the cube). The clear presentation of the comic made it clear that Galactus was the MAIN power he was after. So much so, that Doom didn't even notice the cube falling to the ground and moved on. It was clear the main power he wanted to acquire and was doing damage with was Galactus's. Yes and Odin was one shot with ease.

I just don't have any hope left. I mocked Fraction by claiming that we'd end up having a debate between Thor/Surfer and Odin/Galactus but now after reading some solicits, I'm actually worried that it will happen.

And frankly, I'm not to frilled with him using Odin or Galactus. I mean, the dude's going to reveal that Odin isn't really the All Father (?). You'd need to be Oeming level to handle something of that scale and make it as epic as it deserves to be.
