Paul Bettany as Michael.

The last time God got pissed at mankind, He sent a flood. Not this time.

Deciding that the Rapture was too blase for His tastes (and probably pissing off Satan in the process, causing him to scrap his plans for his Antichrist-in-training), The Almighty decides to exterminate mankind by unleashing His angels upon mankind.

He just didn't expect His chief archangel to go rogue.

Unlike his boss, Michael remains steadfast in his faith in mankind. So much so that he cuts off his wings, steals a cache of guns, assault rifles, what-have-you-starting-some-shit, and haul tail to the one thing that can put a monkey wrench in God's plans.

That thing is Charlie (Adrienne Palicki), a pregnant waitress working out at Paradise Falls, a small diner/garage in the Mojave, whose child can lead mankind to salvation (John Connor much?). Also riding out the Apocalypse is owner Bob Hanson (Dennis Quaid), his son Jeep (Lucas Black), Percy Walker, the one-handed cook (Charles S. Dutton), single dad Kyle Williams (Tyrese Gibson), and the Andersons - Howard and Sandra Anderson (Jon Tenney and Kate Walsh) and their daughter, Audrey (Willa Holland).

Leading the charge on God's side is Gabriel (Kevin Durand), who has no qualms about facing his former buddy in a man-on-angel duel to decide the fate of mankind.

Legion is one of those movies that fly (pun intended) under the radar. But if apocalyptic flicks are your cup of tea, then you should check it out.

Trivia: Aside from being God's chief enforcer, Big Mike is also the patron saint of Chivalry and Knightly Orders. He's also the Defender of Justice, the Healer of the Sick, the Shepherd of the Righteous, and in most cases, getting shit done.
