I can't say I'm surprised at the decision to make Steve Cap again, but I am a bit disappointed. I really liked Bucky Cap as well as Steve as Super Soldier.

It seems like the title will be exploring their pasts, not changing the current status quo... no?

If I read it correctly, I think Captain America #1, the new volume, will be strictly Steve as Captain America again, whereas Captain America and Bucky, which will actually be the current volume of Captain America only renamed, will focus on WWII. Considering the teaser image of Fear Itself showing Steve in the Cap uniform clearly as well as an off-hand comment by Uatu in Avengers recently ("For the once and future Captain America will not let the world die this day" as well as the hype for the movie...

It's obvious, but at the same time, disappointing to see it pan out.

Is it made clear what will happen to Bucky once Steve takes over? It would be neat to see him take on a different role altogether now.

Not in the links no, but I hope to God it isn't something stupid like him dying in Fear Itself. Considering Marvel plans on offing a main character/Avenger in every event, that would sorely piss me off.

not really a surprise.. Marvel sees the success DC is having with two batmen so they will try to have the same success..

will buy the new cap comic, not sure on cap and bucky, will give it a try

Hate it if they do. I really loved the moving forward and Bucky was awesome as the new Cap. Just hate to see that go.
