Easily DC, since Vertigo, and Wildstorm are part of DC which add more depth, and verity.

I do see quite a few names that are dead, depowered or weakened currently.

Arion for example, was a very powerful sorcerer back in his heyday, but he's lost alot of his power nowadays.

It's not a current bases type thing. It's DC or MU throughout history. So any and all mages count.

Constantine is clearly the most formidable.

Marvel's magic community seems a fair bit more active and has more members, but what DC mages are around are fairly strong.

A lot more spellcasting gods and villain types- using sorcerers to throw a curve was common in the silver age.
