Why?

Cthulu and Nyathotep have all been desribed at various sizes. Ranging from the size of a man to towering into the sky.

But Yog Sothoth and Azathoth were chaotic cosmic entities that ruled universal ideas like space and time.

We are but microscopic organisms compared to them. I prefer to think of them as ideas that were cast out. And want to return from behind their gates and destroy everything.
