Yeah, kinda. Why'd you have to spoil it. lol.
Dormammu's main purpose was to try to draw earth into the Dark dimension but the Eye is known for it's matter transmutation abilities.

The blast did come from his free hand tho.

Sort of forgot about the evil eye being used. Not trying to bolster the character for the simple fact that I could've said he didn't have it at all. That comment was in reference to joking with zopzop a little bit. (notice lol)?

@ SpiritStalker allow me to elaborate on Dormammu's confrontations with Eternity a bit. It deserves narration.

Tired of Strange being a pain in the side, Dormammu decides to confront the only 1 whom he thinks can stop him from total conquest...ETERNITY. He tricks Strange into coming into Eternity's dimension so he can be destroyed in the process. Dormammu penetrates a thousand barriers in an attempt to imprison Eternity.

Dormammu's energy projection is enough to blow the planets up in Eternity's being. Then he releases his might upon Eternity causing a flash of light brighter than 1000 exploding suns ripping the fabric of the dimension. Both seem to fade from existence. Steven thinks Eternity is being disintergrated by the attack. Before he gets destroyed, Ancient 1 pulls Steven out of the chaos.

Dormammu and Umar are able to share each others power due to a shift in the cosmic axis as Dread 1 indicates here:

With this imbalance Dormammu is able to enter the essence or manifestation of Eternity in order to remake the universe in his own image. With the Amulet he enters Eternity's dimension and announces his plans (neglecting Umar in the process) and enters what he calls "the blood of Eternity".

He didn't get to do much in terms of universal scale manipulation due to his selfishness towards Umar who as a result, foiled his plans.
