Gul'Dan and Thrall.

Gul'Dan is the responsable of the responsible for the orcs' fall to demonic enslavement and the one that destroyed the orcs shamanistic tradition.

Thrall is the savior of the Horde, the one that restored the aincent noble shamanistic proud of the orcs.

Gul'Dan is considered by many to be the most powerful mortal warlock to ever have existed, while Thrall is considered the greatest shaman of Azeroth.

Who would be the winner in a battle between those two orcs?

During a split-second encounter Thrall wins smile

Damn, Warcraft threads are sprouting like shrooms after a good rain. So it's basically the most powerful mortal warlock against the most powerful mortal shaman. I'll just go with Gul'dan for no particular reason, but it would be a close match either way.

Meioh_Hades
I think too that it would be a close fight.

Gul'Dan feats are things like rising an island from the sea, rising a volcano and destroying a whole village with a single spell.

Thrall now is basically "keeping the world together" with his magic, and during the "Battle for the Undercity" quest he had a lot of good feats.

Gul'Dan may have an advantage in attack powers, but Thrall has better defenses. And also... Gul'Dan seems to be quite old and physically "frail", while Thrall has gladiatorial training and is still in his prime.

Pinkie Pie
Chris Metzen has implied that Thrall is the next Earth Warden. His title alone would defeat Gul'Dan stick out tongue

Meioh_Hades
That's just an "implied" thing.

Looking at canon FACTS Gul'Dan and Thrall seems even matched.
