Lavos is the main antagonist of Chrono Trigger. 60 million years ago, it crashed onto the Earth, wiping out the dinosaurs. It then lived in the core of the Earth, slowly devouring the planets life. It emerges in the year 1999 AD and eradicates the Earth, creating a nuclear apocolypse. In an attempt to find out more about Lavos,Crono and his friends travel through time in order to save the Earth!
