"Sounds cooler"? Screw that. Fury and Strife sound like they're gonna be War clones. They should keep Pestilence and Famine because I can see a lot of violent potential in those guys. For Famine, he can make his enemies so hungry, they'll eat eachother. For Pestilence, he would give his foes the mother of all diseases, the Bubonic Plague.

I think they could add some nifty twists on the actual horsemen if they just put their minds to it; somethin' like Famine being this voracious eating machine with powers both devouring enemies or sicking such minions on them, or Pestilence being a status-inducer that makes his enemies into walking illness time-bombs. Sure the distinctions might be mostly cosmetic in that scenario, but I'm on the prediction that there will be even less than that if they take their liberties with the Horsemen. Not complaning or nothin', just saying that there are possibilities without the need of taking such strong liberties as outright omitting actual characters and replacing them with their own.

Of course, they could've also made a more unique game overall if they did that for the gameplay itself.

Based on the naming, I'd say Strife would be like War. Then again, War isn't really affiliated with the concept of War in Darksiders.

Also, Death is quite powerful. He was said to be near invulnerable, and easily pwned a younger War.

The 4 Horsemen in Darksiders are their creation based on the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and they get to do what they want to do with them. It's as simple as that really.

Besides, there is no 'Pestilence' Horseman in the Original Source anyway.

But, Darksiders pull heartstrings with people because it was a complete knock off of three different games.

It was still well done and had a cool premise but there wasn't anything remotely original with the game.

I really like these types of games, but it's the replay value that has me wondering whether I should rent it or spend the 60 plus to buy it. I still have part one, and after finishing it twice, have not picked it up again. To be fair though, I feel the same about Batman Arkham Asylum, and all of the God of War games collecting dust on my DVD shelving unit.

Damn good art in the game though.

This is true. Outside of playing video games in a vacuum, how much more original can you get? Although certain games may share the same mechanics as another, the story, and art in itself makes it different.

Not to me. Darksiders was a nice little game, but nothing too memorable.

I thought that as well.

It was fun and I liked how the melded Zelda with God Of War but aside from the sweet premise, nothing stood out for me.

I do think the sequel is looking better than the original.

The first had a deeper mythology than it let on at first glance, and despite the gameplay borrowing from other, better games, it played solidly enough. I liked the concept and the world, and I suppose the potential of those things is greater than what was actually experienced.

If they can refine the gameplay to be more of its own thing, which it does look like they're doing, I think they could make it work.

Doesn't hurt that as protagonists go, Death looks more interesting than War.

As far as the mythos goes, Darksiders is rich, even if the first game did not explore a lot of it. They'll be going into greater detail in the second game.

Not to mention, it has a fantastic art-style. They're moving on to more fantasy-based settings now.

A solid 8-8.5/10 with a good story ,nice puzzles and gow/dmc like fighting system...it's compared to zelda cause of the puzzles but since i haven't played any of the zelda games I would compare it to soul reaver 1-2.

Just finished the 1 st playthrough took me 25 hours to beat the game...gonna start over do the sidemissions ,max out Death..anf get some legendary equipment.

Yeah, it's quite cool. I also like how the start menu is just your character actually standing in the game world.

My biggest gripe with the game so far is that Z-targeting requires you to hold down the trigger. It makes using the wrath abilities a bit difficult. Otherwise great game so far.

After playing Mass Effect recently, one of the best things I love about this game is Fast Travel. Even with the horse is a pain in the @$$ going from place to place(looking at u ME). Fast Travel solved that annoyance quite nicely early on.

After playing for 5 straight hours, I can conclude that the sequel trumps the first game in almost every way possible.

This game.............is so much fun. THIS is what I wanted from the first game. A true RPG experience.

Darksiders was very fun and awesome, but I kinda felt it lacking at too many points.

I can't wait to see how the rest of the game unfolds.

My only complaint with the consoles version is Vigil could've made the graphic's a lil sharper.

The graphics seem pretty awesome to me. My PS3's Blu-ray drive and my LED screen bring out the beauty of the game.

The aesthetics are great, but the technical side of it is pretty shite.

Why not just purchase the DLC online? I really like the game so far, and only have a couple of things bad to say about it. It freezes a bit, but not to the point of deal breaker level, and the radar system kind of sucks bunk. What I mean is that it you should be able to see the enemy on your mini map, because the world in certain sections is so large, that you could literally be ambushed from behind, and never expect it. Other than that, it's a real solid title, and I enjoy Madi's art style. He should get together with McFarlane, and come out with an awesome RPG, that places Spawn characters and the Riders in an epic game.

I've had that happened with some games. But it ended up being some update that i got from Xbox live that ****ed them up.

I got the haxed version of watch dogs and the moron who uploaded it didn't rip it well and it phucked up my profie...ermm

I got Death as OP as hell in my game. Aside from his crazy powers, every time I hit an enemy, it heals me, brings my wrath power back up, and replenishes my MP. I'm practically immortal.

Yeah the health and wrath steal weapon build can be op.
Which build.you chose warrior or necromaner?
Max out teleport it's one of the best skills it does really good damage replenishes health and boost wrath regen.
The ghouls and crows combined can be pretty op as well.

The last necromaner ability is pretty shitty so.choose the warrior one isntead.
Harvester ,necroshield and strenght boost are all very useful skills.

Warrior. I like to crush my foes LOL. I have a neck piece that gives me wrath energy every time I hit an enemy, a possessed scythe weapon that gives me mana or whatever every time I hit, and the spider creatures brawling fists that heal me every time I hit. It's ridiculous how hard my guy is to kill.

I didn't take any of the Necromancer powers. Didn't like them.

Necro skills are only good for distraction on lower levels but around 25 you can phuck up almost any enemy.

You can also get extra skill points for completing side missions I think there are like 7 or something extra ones.

How far did you get in the game?
