i generally suck at poetry, but when the Muses steer me in the direction of one, i dare not deny them.

I love you.
With all of my being.
Through the good times and bad.
I love you.

When the times are good, I love your smile, your laugh, your strength.
When the times are bad, I want to hold you tight and whisper good things into your ear.
I want to bring back that smile, that laugh, that strength.
Because I love you.

I'm far from perfect, and so I fight harder than the rest.
I don't have beauty at my command, so I use words.
I weave them together into a quilt to envelop you.
Because I love you.

I know one day, you will leave.
I know one day, you will find another.
And when that day comes, I will stand strong and remember only the good times.
Because I love you.

Te amo.
Je t'aime.
Ich liebe dich.
I love you.

the bottle sits there on the shelf
taunting me
half full of pills to take the pain away
how many will it take?
5? 10? 15? 20?
where will i go?
heaven? hell? limbo? or possibly nowhere at all

friendless
ho-less

i wallow in my own self pity
because i choose to

i see the truth of my life
and i choose to recognize it

lies have filled me to the brim
well, no more i say
no more

and so i sit
bro-less
friendless
ho-less

water
crisp, cool and clear
it covers our planet
it fills our bodies
it falls from the heavens
it flows down rivers
so versatile, so precious
full of life, giver of life

i thought i wrote that for another
but in the end, it was all for you
your touch, your smell, it's all i crave
every moment alone, i slip deeper into madness

even though, you do not see me
i am always here
eternal, forever
it's all for you

your face haunts my dreams
your voice cannot be drowned out by the loudest music
i don't know how much longer i can go one, but still i choose to fight
all for you

Moving on
It's never easy
But it needs to be done
This pain in my chest
It feels like it may never go away
But I know it will
It feels like I may never smile again
Or laugh again
But I know I will
I will be free of this pain
I will let it ebb away into nothing
Someday
