I for one am looking forward to this. I was really hoping those teasers would lead to something like this. Fraction writing is kinda 50/50 for me, but I'm sure his handle on Strange >>>> Bendis' own (not that that should be hard).

i hope strange ans surfer aren't depowered

If anything Strange might be repowered, possibly back to his Sorcerer Supreme levels. And I don't think Surfer would be depowered any, either.

Agreed, and IMO Ironfist over Nighthawk is a big improvement on the standard Defenders line-up. However, I would have loved to seen Hulk with this line-up.

I'd have prefered Black Knight but I'll settle with that rooster.

I'm hyped about the Defenders because Namor is one of my favorite characters. Anyone else interesting?

The Fist, Namor, and Surfer? Most powerful team ever!

Iron Fist looks like classic Surfer in that promo too on another note (minus the clothes and color)

Strange still wack as shit?

so they got Namor,Surfer and Strange from the originals...looks like a good lineup to me. I'll check it out.

based on thor # 6, Radd might be a little de powered, but i still can't wait for this series

Yeah, they kinda set Surfer up for a nerf in Thor's book. It has to do with his proximity to Earth.

As far as Fraction goes, it wasn't terrible.

Not bad for a set up issue actually.

first issue was pretty good.. however the artwork can be improved upon and i looking forward to seeing Nul and Betty kick ass

I went my way and catched up with this, I actually find it quite enjoyable as the lover of D-listers that I am. It has always been a wonder why I never got into the Defenders since they incarnate the love of unknown/underdevelopped/one-shot characters I adore.

I do like this ongoing so far, but is it me or it tries too hard to be like Planetary?

Too bad since it was actually picking up steam and becoming on of Fraction's few good books out there. It gives me a glimmer of hope for FF, because it was wacky.

That sucks. It was actually decent.

I actually liked this series.

Not enough Wolverine being the first X-Man IMO though
