I personally would like one movie set right after revenge of the sith. Since lucas doesn't want to devote the time to another trilogy why not just do one film where we see Palpatine and Darth Vader( in the suit because screw Anakin he kinda killed the character for me anyways) hunting down jedi and setting up the trilogy even more so.

I'd rather have another trilogy set in olden times but this would sure do in the meantime.

I don't as much as a fan that I am I think one more movie would ruin it.

Interesting idea but I'm not completely sure it would work because it may just lead to more inaccuracies or established idea-tweaking between that and the OT.

But plus points would be that we could see more of Vader (especially more of him doing more fighting/killing), more of Tarkin and his dynamic with Vader and the Emperor, hunting down more of the Jedi which you said yourself (Yoda and Ben on the run?) and the construction of the Death Star and with that some insight into the Bothans that died to get the information. That last part could be seen as dramatic and a way to link with the OT.

But overall I think it would be best to leave it be, the stories been told, not much point going over it again.

I'd love to see the EU on film.

-Luke re-establishes the Jedi Academy and gains even more powerful Force powers (cloaking, etc.)

-Palpatine's clone comes into power and tempts Luke to the Dark Side.

-Han and Leia elope and have the twins Jaina and Jacen, and then Anakin Solo.

-Chewbacca dies.

-The introduction of the Yuuzhan Vong and their evil reich.

-Boba Fett escapes from the Sarlacc pit and is pissed.

The EU would make for some awesome films.

I think with care if could be told and I know many star wars fans wanted to see suit Vader going off with today's special effects. It's just an idea though since I've been told lucas doesn't want to dedicate all the time to another trilogy this movie would be perfect.

But if he or someone else down the line does another trilogy I'd ike to see it either far back or the past or past the events of these first two trilogies with different characters.

ANJO seems like the way to go

I think a forward progression in the franchise is the only way to go. The actors are still alive and kicking for the most part, so it makes sense to go there. I am personally sick of the backtracking with film franchises. I want to see how our heroes have evolved in the time that has passed. I want to know what became of Luke, Leia, Han and all those other characters. No I don't read the comics, books or whatever because there are too many to sift through. Besides, comics books and such lose their place when films bring in a new canon reality. This often irks the fans of these comics. So that's that, I want to see beyond the original trilogy. If they are having a problem with what sort of conflict to pursue with the franchise, the sith being extinct or on the endangered list and all. They should introduce a new antogonist not necessarily from the same galaxy. Besides, the last time I checked the universe was full of galaxies and potential bad guys. Lucas should not direct this time out. He can produce and co-write the stories. He should also fix some errors in the characters he done injustice to, Boba. :P

Korto Vos
Well I've lost faith in George Lucas's ability to concoct an original story for a new trilogy.

The NJO would be the best possibility since the public can see what happened to Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and the droids. Fans of Star Wars would know what happens, of course, but the general audience would not. They could use one of the more compelling EU storylines (one that brings back Boba Fett of course) as a base and devise a trilogy.

Honestly, however, I think Bioware should create a Star Wars movie with animation. Looking at the Old Republic trailers, and the angles which they depict battle sequences, Bioware would be a great fit. I would pay to see them make a KOTOR movie.

I would love to see forward progression but I am scared what it would do to the franchise. I almost just want it to end and forget episodes 1-3 movies ever happened.

No.

Chewbacca's death was one of the greatest moments in teh EU. Killed by a ****ing moon, how epic is that?

Robtard
Take your stinking mini-moon off my Wooki, you damn dirty poster.

Impediment
Chewie died like a true G. He saved Anakin and then roared at the moon like, "F*ck you, stupid ass moon! Bring it!"

You know, I've never understood how anybody can convince themselves of things like that. The original trilogy is nostalgic, the prequels are their own entity, having them exist does not kill the story for me. So, I welcome a new trilogy beyond star wars, I am capable of using my head to accept them or not if they add or negate much of what the story is thus far. The originals will still be there to be told. Sure, Lucas is slowly chipping away at the originals into some weird mutation but people still remember the original 3. So bring on the next 3 I say. Rain or shine, its another 3 chapters to be told. big grin

Stoic
I think that they should explore the Star Killer character.

Who knows what is going to happen now since Lucas has retired from directing movies.

I forgot that Chewie was dead...what a dick move, the one thing I like about the EU is they decided to bring back Fett...

How about some new stories that aren't so kid friendly.. R-rated.

I think they have those in the local adult video store...

Meh...

Star Wars is good as it is. It doesn't need to become R-rated to make it better, plus the movies are intended for kids.

I think im the only guy in the world whos never seen star wars, I've seen bits through the years but never the full on movie; its like im not apart of the club where everyone talks about it. lol

Nowhere.

Honestly if they did another batch I would like them to do it way in the past, like an origins of the Jedi Temple story, or way in the future.

I would like to see new characters and stories.

Especially with the way the prequels were handled, they didn't do a spectacular job of tying the stories together or letting the new stuff stand on its own. At least not for me.

CadoAngelus
The only thing with creating a Sequel or a new Prequel to the current Star Wars saga is that Lucas intended the Star Wars saga to be about Anakin. The Story is about Anakin.

So either Lucas would have to think of how to show Anakin after death for 3 movies (or however many) or before the Prequel trilogy.

I don't think any more movies should be created. I think The Clone Wars is a good idea as an extension of AotC because it tells the story of about 5years that's completely missing from RotS.

If anything, a movie about non-Force users would be interesting. Showing the background to the Star Wars universe, the majority of the people. According to everything to do with Star Wars and the Force, Force sensitive individuals are few and far between at any time, and yet for some reason there's a high demand for a vast minority.

Surely they have made enough Star Wars movies now? They don't want to ruin the current franchise.

Mr. Rhythmic
Force Unleashed Trilogy.

That already happened in 1999.

marwash22
they need to just go well beyond the characters we already know and establish all new stories.

I don't play the games, would they be a good base for movies?

CadoAngelus
Not The Force Unleashed 2, it's too short and is somewhat lacking.

I think KOTOR 1 & 2 would be good movies, and maybe the Jedi Knight saga.

nochol
Gameplay aside, The force unleashed in general just sucks. stick out tongue

RyanEstabrooks
I really think they should take one of the best Star Wars fiction books and do a one-shot adaptation. And yes, something darker that isn't primarily concerned with selling goddamned Lego sets to kids. A REAL story with REAL characters and some realistic violence. I mean, it's called 'Star Wars'....WARS! I want to see more of this 'War' part of the title! Something like 'Saving Private Ryan' in the 'Star Wars' universe would truly be amazing

And is gonna happen again in *gasp*, 3D!

CadoAngelus
It's funny to listen to the people who are looking forward to the 3D version. It's recently been released on BluRay and now they're going to release it to cinema's in 3D and then to 3D BluRay...and it's ludicrous how many people will buy both versions, having already bought all VHS releases, all DVD releases and now the HD versions.

I swear Lucas just makes money off of idiots now...

The 3D won't help Jake Lloyd's acting.
