Of all the great conquerors in history (Alexander, Cesar, Genghis Khan, Shaka Zulu, Cyrus the Great, Mohammed, Charlemagne, Chandra Gupta, Napoleon, etc) who was the most noble?

By noble I mean who was the most merciful and righteous in their treatment of the conquered, in their relationship with their own people/soldiers?

None of them, it isn't a noble profession.

righeousness means pleasing to God. Most of them felt that they were God.

Be that as it may, you must recognize that a dirty job can be done cleaner by some than others.

Maybe a better way to phrase it would be to ask which great conqueror was the least depraved/most beneficial to the world.

Damn sure not Chaka Zulu.
