Thing isn't strong enough or fast enough to keep Hulk from grabbing the shield out of his hands and bashing him to death with it.

Thing loses even faster than normal. thing casts a bigger profile than the shield can even hope to cover, depending on the artist, cap could probably fit inside the thing's hand.

regardless, hulk simply taking the shield like you said is more than likely as thing is probably still suffering from PTSD after his last tussle with hulk, he'd curl up into fetal position

Thing described WHY he always lost to Hulk back when he was Spiky Thing fighting Grey Hulk.

He said himself that he'd always tire out and the Hulk wouldn't. Pure and simple. Unless the Hulk starts aging and tuckering out........Ben won't ever match up with him until he gets old enough to evolve to the point that he is a better match. (which could take decades).

Lets say he does.

Hulk's probably never used one before, but he knew enough to throw it at Maestro.. I'm hoping less that Ben can use it to protect himself, and more that he can use it as a weapon to help even the odds.

What if Ben just throws it at him, instead of letting him get into grabbing distance.

Cap was able to stagger bricks. Someone with Things strength should be capable of throwing it right through Hulk.

Hulk killing Ben with a flick of his finger is a real possibility anyway.

Ben's usually able to hold his own with SH, until he tires out or eventually gets beaten down.

Thing finally got the edge he needed to beat Hulk. Ben 6/10.
