*This is not a standard vs.*

Don't complain about or add to the listed characters, there may be a sequel coming. I just tried to pick one or two rogues per hero without making things too long (ran into image max).

This isn't about power, it's about character development, badassery, and all the traits that make us like (or dislike) them.

Scenario 1: As they are portrayed on panel
Scenario 2: Their potential as villains

The contenders:

Scenario #1: Mordru. Guy's been consistently portrayed as beast for decades. Overall, I'd say he's gotten more respect than Darkseid has, which is a shame.

Scenario #2: Ra's, out of everyone listed, I feel has the most untapped potential as a villain.

Hank Henshaw is also incredibly badass.

Cogito
I think I'd agree with Mordru for #1. Although I would say that I've really enjoyed reading Sinestro during this last GL run. Ditto with Hank.

For potential, I've got to go with Darkseid. We were teased with this portrayal as a multiversal manipulator during FC, and I love him stepping up from this guy who's a JLA threat to being on the big stage. Ra's is solid for a street leveler which is hard to compare.

SquallX
Hank's potential is near limitless if handle right. That means no pis/cis to hinders him.

To have a bad ass Hank, he would need a few things.
1. Give him his own series. Hell, a 12 part mini would be a start.
2. No Superman's family in at least a 1 million light yrs from Hank.
3. PIS/CIS removes. Hank uses his powers to the highest of function. Especially his Technopathy, just like he did in the Superman/Doomsday mini arc.

Hank's potential when handle right is just as powerful as Superman's potential.

His potential > Superman's.

He already has a Kryptonian power set in addition to his virtually peerless technopathy.

Superman ripping out his "control node" is PIS.

If Parallax Hal couldn't beat Hank by ripping into his chest, there's no reason why Kal would have been able to. And yes, Hank's technopathy as it's portrayed normally makes him Kal's equal overall at the very least. Explored to its full potential, he'd be beyond Superman, frankly.

Bouboumaster
Sinestro

Prep-Man
Black Adam was truly a villain during his golden age days and into Pre-Crisis. The dude had COMPLETE invulnerability. NOTHING could hurt him. Even the combined might of Mary, Billy, and freddy just made him laugh. Post crisis, Mordru all the way.

Let me ask you this, then.

Do you really think Superman's Kryptonian power set is > than a powerset which includes a virtually immortal electronic consciousness which regularly inhabits a body with organic Kryptonian DNA and top tier class technopathy the likes of which has taken over Oan, Qwardian, War World, Kryptonian, and New God tech with next to no difficulty?

Uriel005
1) Mordru
2) Darkseid/Mordru

Always felt DS should definitely be able to do more and as for Mordru I've posted elsewhere I would have liked to see him before the reboot finish his destined fate of absorbing the lords of order and chaos. Just to see what he'd do with it.

Cogito
Re-read Sinestro Corps War the other day...man Hank is all kinds of f'ing awesome.

Superman beats everyone eventually. Using him as a measuring stick in this situation is kind of bad.

I wouldn't go that far. Superman is to Kryptonians what Cap is to humans.

Yes, Kal is exceptional even among Kryptonians, and if we were to compare strictly Kryptonian power sets, he'd be > Henshaw. But Henshaw has a Kryptonian power set as well as his technopathy, and together, those would be more potent than just strictly Superman's powerset by itself.

Captain Cold was actually the 11th villian I originally listed, but the image max is 10 so I cut him, sorry sad

Mordru by far is dc's most impressive villain on this list.

Why is Wolverine dressed like Dr. Strange in the OP?
